Iran Barkley (Hearns 2 fight) vs Montell Griffin

You are right there, but Dariusz was never the most skilled fighter either. He was a bit more skilled yes, better jab too. But Barkley had that body punching and better chin. Both are big, strong have a pressure style and can punch. So I see some parallels there. You know, Barkley would never expect to win such a fight on points against the elusive Griffin , he would look for the kill

 

Barkley would be able to land more body shots than head shots, but would he beat smart enough to go to the shorter fighters body, and how would he evade counters after throwing these shots?

 

As much as it pains me to say this, because I loved watching Barkley, he was so entertaining, but Griffin probably would soundly outbox him. He was just too fast and defensively clever for him. Everyone would be rooting for Barkley to nail him, but he just wouldn't accomplish it often enough, and he would be getting nailed with enough counters that he would lose a decision.
