Supposing the very close Duran fight was scored for Iran Barkley who held onto his WBC belt.Mike Mccallum is the WBA champ after beating Herol Graham .

    Who wins this one?

Has McCallum faced a man like this Barkley who will get in his face and who is coming off wins over olajide,Hearns and Duran?

Barkley was easily outboxed, and McCallum had the tools to outbox him. Maybe Mike runs into some treacherous rounds early on, but gradually turns the fight his way to win a clear decision.

I think that McCallum wins widely if Barkley fights the way that he did against Kalambay, trying to win exchanges at mid-range. If Barkley fights more like he did later in his career, bullying McCallum with his strength and fighting on the inside, then McCallum's in for a tough one. I'd still pick McCallum to pull it out, as Barkley was just that hittable, but it would be a close, hard bout.

McCallum is far to good and versatile for the somewhat one dimensional Barkley. I'm a big fan of Barkley but he is bot the same caliber of fighter as the body snatcher.

Skill wise McCallum wins this easy. But as he got older and heavier he began to coast more during fights.
But he wouldn't or shouldn't have many issues beating a fighter as crude as Barkley. A old and much heavier Duran, fighting way past his prime and best fighting weight gave Barkley a boxing lesson.
McCallum was fresher than Duran at this point in their careers, though McCallum was past prime also . McCallum wouldn't leave any doubt about the winner. McCallum by Unanimous dec.

Barkley was a better fighter than some give him credit for, and McCallum wasn't quite the virtuoso at 160 that he was at 154. I think this would be relatively competitive and a good fight to watch, but stylistically McCallum holds the advantages here, is a classier fighter to boot and, although it was at a different weight, I can't shake the image of how he took apart Harding - and I could see this being a repeat of that one.

McCallum decision for me. There'd be the odd tough moment but his overall skill and durability would get him the UD W.

Going with the consensus of a McCallum decision although it wouldn't be all one way traffic.
