Now that is what I call a fight for the ages. A little under a year ago I purchased a few fights from Jesse Reid Jr, and along with Duran/Palmino and Arguello/Mancini, he put this fight on the disc for me for free as like a little freebie. Only this morning do I actually decide to tune in and watch it, and I'm glad I did, because this is one of the most entertaining slug-fests I've seen in a while.

First fight I've seen of Robbie Sims and although I was impressed with his punch resistance in this fight, he seemed to be slapping with most of his hooks and combination's. This was quite rightfully pointed out by the commentary team, and I tend to think it was mostly exhaustion that contributed to the stoppage.

Barkley was throwing a lot of leather, and not to many jabs at all. Inexperienced and raw, it's really hard to imagine that this kid would go on top become a titleholder in the Middleweight division. We didn't really see any evidence of the power we now know he had, and his come forward, face first style worked against him in the this instance.

A hell of a fight. The crowd got their moneys worth on that night.

I still contend to this day that Duran deserved a draw with Sims in '86 out in Vegas....... I have that fight on tape........ I like to review it, but the majority nod for Sims bothers me... DAMN!

Duran is my All-Time favorite animal of the ring......

ESPN has fights every blue moon or so worth taping, but on the whole, the network sucks ass......

It is 4:45 a.m on Sat. and I just poured a drink of Old Crow with a 7-Up... I also have "Bowe-Holy 2" rolling............ I love this win for Holy......... BUT! We must be real... Holy at 217 pounds was SO JUICED in 1993............. Meanwhile, Bowe was a soft slob at 246........... Still, a great fight............ Fan Man, too.........

Yeah. Their first fight was on a whole different level...still, one of the most consistently entertaining trilogy's of all time.

Hagler's half bro, Sims beat the likes of Barkley KO6, Doug DeWitt 1 out of 2 (W10 and L12), and Duran W10 among others. Decent fighter when he was at his best. 38-10-2 (26) and only stopped once, LKOby7 Benn.
