If half the boxers of today fought like this man did the sport would get so much more respect !!! http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=447&cat=boxer With wins over Toney and Hearns and losses to Benn,Duran and Nunn who in this day and age right now would take such a road to success huh who ????:hat
Win over Toney? Toney gave him an LAPD style beating. I wonder if Barkley will get into the HOF. He's more deserving than someone like Gatti, whom I suspect will get into Canastota.

Yeah he has a good resume but he lost the vast majority of his fights against that resume! You can't hide the fact that a natural 135lb'er beat him up and Benn ****ing decked him in 1 round!
That was technical knockout if you have ever seen one though..Barkley could have continued, after the first KD he stormed back and seemed to be getting the better of Benn before getting rocked and decked twice just before the end of the round. The WBO had the 3 knockdown rule though so the fight had to be stopped...you can even tell the ref didnt want to as he could see Barkely was up and not to bad.
Oh come on. Even if Barkley had been allowed back up after being knocked down 4 times he would have just been knocked down again and finished. Benn would of been all over him.
There was no time left in the round, the bell rings about 3 secs after Iran got up if I recall correctly... no way would Benn have stopped him in that round. He would have had a minutes rest...who knows what would have happened. Taking absolutely nothing away from Benn, it was not like a controversial stoppage or anything but Barkely was immediatley up after the last knockdown, the fight could have went on...He may have got stopped soon after, in fact he probably would have. But certainly not in that round...You cant count out Barkley he had heart and could recouperate fairly well. Ive seen a guy come back from 4 knockdowns in a round to win a fight in the next. Thats why I think in situations like a title fight there should be no 3 knockdown rule, should be up to the ref's discretion...Im fairly certain the WBO has changed that now.
Yeah, I had forgotten about how close the 3rd KD was to the end of the round. Do they? Who's that then?
Thats one of the best fights you will ever see...No way was that a blatant robbery, it was a great performance from both with a great finish.
Barkley has done poorly after boxing. Little money and prospects. Its called prize fighting because its for money. What did he gain in the end?
Duran-Barkley was no robbery. I thought the decision was fair. Similar to fights like DLH-Whitaker and Leonard-Hagler, it was the amount that the winner won by which I found outrageous. 118-112?
Duran-Barkely is the kinda fight i call "Duel-performances". basically there should be no victor because both fought so hard to make it an amazing fight that giving it to either takes away from the other
