i mean... there names even sound cool.

both fighters very destructive left hookers that would go down in flames valiantly if the win wasent there to be taken.

hart seemed to be the smoother fighter from the briscoe bits of fight i saw, seemed to be very reliant on the left hand. barkley with his crude but dangerous arsenal of winging left hooks and right hands.

I'll go Barkley. Hart never actually stopped a fighter anywhere near as good as Iran and was ironed out by lesser fighters. Barkley by stoppage.

..............I think in terms of overall ability they were a wash; they had some similar strenghts, but I'm picking Hart here without much reservation. His punches were faster, shorter, and sharper, and he started fast. Barkley did not. That's a bad scenario for Iran.

Yep,Hart was quick with his hooks and would take Iran out early, Benn style.

    Very well said.

I honestly think something may of changed with Hart after he fell out of the ring, onto his head, against Moyer. Similar to what happened to Hopkin's years later the fight was a NC because of that.

Falling that kind of distance out of the ring onto your head hard enough to knock you out... Don't know. Less then a half year later he'd start losing against mediocre fighters and seemingly never completely got his old form back.

It would be a tremendous fight for 3 rounds, but Eugene would catch Iran, who could be floored, with that hook, and it's over.

Hart would catch Barkley early but fold as Barkley keeps coming.

Very difficult one to call. In a series I think we'd likely have split results. I doubt anyone's seeing the final bell in any of them. Barkley was the tougher fighter, and physicall larger/stronger. He clearly had the power to take Hart out, as well. However, Hart was also the faster starter and the more compact puncher, so it's very possible he could stop Barkley in the early going with one of his Jackson-esque early barrages. If he failed to, I'd favor Barkley down the stretch. As I said, though, definitely a match that could have a variety of outcomes.

Barkely won the championship, Hart did not. I'm taking Iran over Eugene in an eighth round TKO slugfest.

Hart's draw with Briscoe was perhaps his finest career moment(s). I can't see Iran going the distance with Briscoe, let alone hold him to a draw.

If Barkley gets him into the mid to late rounds he wins. Otherwise Hart duplicates what Benn did to Barkley. He's a faster starter and Iran couldn't take those left hooks. I can see the latter scenario much easier than the former. Iran is too easy to hit.

Hart would win, cause while Barkley took good punch, he was too easy to hit, and Hart could tear a guys head off.
