Well if English ppl have any pride they'd leave him off as he classes himself as Irish....be silly supporting someone who shows a complete lack of respect to the country that he resides in!
Fury is an Irish traveller, Irish travellers or pikeys as there known in Blighty are probably the most Irish of all, they are throwbacks to days past when there was regualr faction fights in Erie in the 1700s, savage men are travellers, sure hes Andy Lees cousin aswel.
Both Fury's parents are Irish as are his entire ancestry and he has been raised in a staunch Irish clan up bringing his entire life. So yes, he is Irish, pure bred Irish in fact. You can't get more Irish than an Irish Traveler. It's bizarre this even has to be brought up.
In fairness in 2008 he didn't have any documentary evidence of his family being from Ireland, hence he couldn't compete for Ireland as an amateur. I'm not saying his family aren't Irish, but I can see why people would query how Irish he was.
Fury's a manc, clearly English. I've got some Irish blood but wouldn't call myself Irish. Tysons dad & uncle were also born in England actually. Not to say that the Irish can't be proud of him too though, as he does have some Irish roots going back.
Tyson's Dad, Gypsy John Fury and his uncle/trainer Peter Fury were both born and raised in England. His brother Hughie also represented England/GB in the AMs. This thread is stupid.
Yet are Irish and recognized as such by the british government. http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/index.html http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/censu...nd-wales-/info-gypsy-or-irish-travellers.html
Yup. If you're born to an English parent, in England, you have English blood. Blood lines change over time you know, just because you have blood going back doesn't mean that's the only blood in you, when generations move blood lines change. I'm just saying what's clearly true, he has the right to claim both and does. I get you're trying to wind people up. :good https://twitter.com/Tyson_Fury/status/285163166839754752
