yeah i dont agree with it tbh, when it comes to boxing im just a fan of the sport and where a fighter originates from never comes into account, as an irishman i have no problem in admitting i am huge fan of english and uk fighters and have forked out on money for memoribilia and trips to england to see em

a bit nuts ehhh the way i see it when two boxers go into the ring no matter wht happens in the ring they are always gentlemen afterwards and it has no bearing on them where the opponent has come from , i am from scotland but i have a lot of respect for alot of other fighters from all parts of the world but it usually doesnt cross my mind where they are from jst enjoy the show they put on

Napa, Brook, Haye, Witter and Appleby would/will all win. Ridiculously biased.

jesus christ, biased or not dont **** all over the guy for putting an opinion out there,

we all meant to be boxing fans yet boxingwriter writes some **** you dont agree with

and every c&nt jumps on his ass like a pack of dogs which results in irish fellas defending

their fighters in some stupid situations. come back and say well cant see that happening

and then **** over his point with boxing arguments. not **** like "what you want a medal"

UK obviously overall better but some of these fights might be closer than you think.

p4p? might have to go with ireland

Haye would beat rogan handiliy.Woods would stop Rock. I think Duddy would just shade Moore but would be a good fight.

i have lee, duddy, mccloskey, haughian, lindsay and dunne winning on the irish side so that makes it what 6-6 but to be honest hatton should be in the lww bit so makes it 7-5.

Don't know if it would make any difference but i'd have McEwan over Barker. In fact McEwan-Lee would be a good fight I think.

Was not being condescending. As others said Haye is world class and Rogan is not. Witter and Hatton are proven and McCloskey is not. Froch is. Barker is unproven so is Lee. Dunne made us all fans the other night, Munroe may not beat him, but in my opinion has a much better chance than McCloskey or Rogan. Particularly if you look at their head to head results. But you are right i am sure in a head to head the UK would come out far on top. Thats just my opinion, based on fighters not nationality

Here's my choice. I'm Irish, but i'm trying not to be biased

Heavyweight - Martin Rogan V David Haye - Haye by KO
Light Heavyweight - Jim Rock V Clinton Woods - Woods on Points
Super Middleweight - Brian Magee V Carl Froch - Froch by TKO
Middleweight - Andy Lee V Darren Barker - Lee by TKO
Light middleweight - John Duddy V Jamie Moore - Duddy on points
Light welterweight - Paul McCloskey V Ricky Hatton - Hatton TKO
Welterweight - Stephen Haughian V Kell Brook - Brook TKO
Lightweight - Andrew Murray V John Murray - J Murray points
Super Featherweight - Patrick Hyland V Ricky Burns - Burns on Points
Featherweight - Martin Lyndsay V Paul Appeleby - Lyndsay TKO
Super Bantamweight - Bernard Dunne V Rendall Munroe - Dunne on points
Bantamweight - Paul Hyland V Ian Napa - Hyland on Points

    I give that 7-5 UK
