Don't feel sorry for him, He's more than happy at the moment.:D

The money isn't an issue for him either, He's really not in the game for money which is very refreshing. He just loves the sport so i don't see him dropping off the scene.:good

I wont cry for him just yet. I'd say this has more to do with Rigo than anything else.

i.e. the gravy is starting to flow from the Rigo boat and Hydes said to himself that he is sick of looking after these three headwreckers and would prefer an easier job, like sheparding butterflies.

Now those Cubans can go over to Miami and get plenty of women, enjoy wild parties and waste their considerable talents one by one.

Yeah. Adios Amigos to the 3 Cuban lads. A damn shame really - but on the cards for a while.

i dont see how it was on the cards for a while. yes we all know garcia is a selfish little ***** who wants everything done his own way e.g. campillo fight. but acostas career was ticking along nicely and mike had an excuse because he hurt his shoulder so i dont see why hyde just dumped them. it was only a few weeks back when he was saying they would be fighting on rigos undercards. i think hyde is in the wrong. he knows rigo is going to make him loads of cash so he just gets rid of 3 very good prospects.:-(. anyway is their any chance peters will take one of them on?:bbb

Ah come on Mossy did you really think the Cubans were ever going to stay with Hyde for any length of time. And even if you did then once they started taking the **** did the alarms bells not start to ring then.

All those Cuban defectors want to do is go to the states and get fat and sloppy with the rest of the cowards who fled the country. And mainly its down in Miami. There is a very complicated and us government funded easy life for high profile defectors down there.

Nothing Hyde had to offer, no matter how good it was, would ever come ahead of that and it will be the same with Rigondeaux. He didn't defect to have an Irish promoter who only has a boxer or two on his books. As soon as the chance arises he will be gone like a bat out of hell.

For anyone that likes the come forward brawler type pugilists, this is a contest you should watch, and it's one of my favourite fights to boot. Also this recording has the advantage of the commentary being American, whereas I originally watched it on Sky with Ian Darke commentating, so it's interesting to hear another perspective on the fight.
