Barrett down HEAVILY in the second and Kenna chasing him round the ring for the stopage - how he survivied I dont know.

Connie came back out in the third and showed a fair bit of boxing and took that.

Connie jabbed his way through the rest of the fight to take the decision and the title - he now fights Rogan.

Rogie has had his operation and is now coming back to full fitness and would damage either of them.

    97-92

Mandatory challenger for the Irish title!! feckin thing hasnt been fought for for 10 years and now they have a mandatory!!

Barrett had to dig deep there. Didn't think he was going to last the round. Don't think Rogan will be worrying too much at the same time

I was just about to post Fitz - Healy and it comes on!

Acosta stopped Machado in the 5th. Quit in his corner between rounds 5 and 6 due to a cut eye.

Steve was saying that Acosta wasnt overly impressive. He was getting frustrated when Macheda quit with a cut eye.

I got stuck in traffic and walked in at the end of the 5th round. I saw the last 3 seconds of it, sat down and said to myself 'at least I'll get to see a bit of this' then Machado quit in his ****ing corner.

I was told Machado had a go but Acosta handled him nicely enough without being spectacular

Any mention of Bernard or Andy Lee on the show. A lad told me today Dunne changed his mind and decided he hadn't fully made up his mind about coming back and wants more time. Sounds a bit airy fairy to be honest. He's had plenty of time to think. If its true is nothing but bad news
