You sure about that ?, any Irish emmigrant I've talked to here in the North East of England seems to have no time for him and are firmly in the Prunty camp.
I had an entire article lifted by a local paper once and the editor stuck his name at the top :scaredas::nut Bam Bam has a point. Try lifting their stuff and see what happens!
Some of my quotes are in that Star article as well. But I'm writing articles from a position of promoting the sport through irish-boxing.com and the Supporters Club and not as a freelance reporter, so I'm actually happy enough when I see them pop up somewhere else. Not going to get upset about not being accredited. I think it is more important that one of our young boxers is getting good press in a national newspaper...but I understand where others are coming from.
To be fair Johnny I felt like robbing some of you quotes meself - you got such good access to Poonsawat that I couldnt get my head around how you did it and translated all the interviews etc. I was researchin for weeks tryin to find bits and pieces about him and you had it at the touch of a finger. It wasnt until we became friends on facebook that I forgived out how you did it - ya crafty fecker!
I think we all agree with that Cormac, I certainly aint getting upset about not getting an accreditation, although that would be nice and would help the websites we write for. But it would be a lot easier to get my press passes accredited by promoters in the UK and Ireland if there was some acknowledgement "further up the food chain".I am just glad that Frampton, Prunty, Kavanagh, Maher, ***an or whoever are getting coverage and if my work helps those journalists in the national print press get an article in their publication which promotes the boxer in question the its job done. In reality I have a large degree of perspective and understanding with regards this and understand my own position in that food chain - I am looking to get promoted to the rank of plankton soon!
That's the exact reason I've taken a liking to the boy he brings a bit of theatrics to the cards hes put on. I will be strongly suggesting a step up of opponent for Prunty How does a 2-0 fighter with both wins coming by way of stoppage sound?
feel the exact same way myself Cormac There are a lot of people who don't go online for boxing news and the national papers are the best way to get the info to the casual fan.
read in paper 2day that mccloskey will defend his title in kings hall 1st r 2nd week of may ...there waiting on tv slot to tie down a date...:good
Guiseppe Lauri. Hardly surprising to hear his name but after seeing him in action against Ted Bami, this ain't going to be a pretty fight!
thats right...and also all the ulster champions and finalists will be entering the seniors this weekend:good
