Agree with you Cormac I think any promotion of young Irish boxers is great. Its a credit to yourself you aren't looking at it from the angle of a freelancers.

However, having worked in that game, I think the general point still stands.

Anyway, McCloskey - Lauri. I'm a big fan and of course I'll want to see the fight but it doesn't exactly set the pulse racing!

Not a bad fight for experience, keeping active and cementing a ranking, quite right Patrick.

But as a spectacle...oh dear......Lauri is horrible to watch. You won't be travelling up from Dublin for it anyway I wouldn't have thought :-(

I reckon McCloskey takes Lauri out in 7 rounds either by ko or retirement.

I know there does be people travelling down from Belfast on a bus for any of the Dunne fights in the o2. With McCloskey fighting up in the Kings Hall for his next fight is there any buses going from Dublin to the fight and back again? I know nothing has been comfirmed but wouldn't mind heading up to watch this fight but couldn't afford to stay overnight.

I know you're asking about a bus specifically to the fight and back but if you didn't mind a little more travelling there's the bus from Busaras to Europa bus depot in Belfast. A bus leaves both cities on the hour, 24 hours a day. It would cost you just over 20 euro for a return ticket (it's just under 20 quid sterling). A taxi to and from the Kings hall wouldn't be too dear, especially if you were sharing. It's only 3-4 miles away. Just another option to consider.

Any idea where a venue for Barrett/Rogan would be Paddy? I'm assuming it would be in Dublin but wonder if Rogan's drawing power in Belfast would factor in.
