    Its hard to say......

But Martin Lindsay and the other British Champions have been headlining Sky or Setanta shows and are all after getting a taste of big money.....
So its gonna cost big money for the Hylands to get in the ring with these lads.....

    Sports Council announce €8.35m package

Sports Grants: The Irish Sports Council announced details of a grants package worth €8.35 million with race walker Olive Loughnane boxer John Joe Nevin and Paralympic cyclist Catherine Walsh among the 16 athletes awarded contract status and the top grant of €40,000 after their medal winning performances at the World Championships last year.
A total of €5.28 million will be invested in Performance Plans compared to the €5.7 million invested in 2009. An additional €450,000 has been ring-fenced for sports science and medicine service delivery, which brings this year’s total to €5.73 million.
This function has been transferred from Coaching Ireland to the Institute of Sport and is included in the budget for the plans for the first time.
The €2.65 million allocated to the Carding Scheme compares to last year’s figure of €2.5 million. The Carding Scheme currently supports 111 “senior level” athletes in 20 sports. An investment of €634,000 will be made to “junior and developmental squads” in 16 sports.
The Institute of Sport is another element of the support and funding and operates under the guise of the Sports Council from its base at Abbotstown.
"This is a substantial package of financial support and a powerful statement of the Government's commitment to investment in sport,” said Martin Cullen, Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism at today’s announcement.
“It is recognition of another very successful year for Irish high performance sport in 2009 and an acknowledgement of the potential of sport to make a real difference to the country as we prepare for forthcoming European Championships and World and Olympic Games."
A new High Performance Committee, chaired by Eamonn Coghlan, has been established to oversee the investment of the Irish Sports Council in elite sport. The committee's recommendation on the Performance Plans and International Carding Scheme were accepted by the board of the Irish Sports Council at a meeting last week.
"This investment plan comes on the back of an excellent 2009,” said Coughlan. “A series of outstanding performances across a range of sports demonstrates that Ireland can compete with the best in the world and that Irish sport can produce a real return on our investment".
"The total investment in 2010 will be broadly in line with 2009,” added John Treacy, chief executive Irish Sports Council. “The Council is delighted to be in a position to provide consistent and sustained support to the sports and athletes.”

Any word on Dunne or Andy Lee's next fights? Is it true Dunne is still undecided whether to return to boxing? I can't see him retiring myself. He hasn't exactly reaped a whole lot of dosh thus far in his career.

I hope Lee fights in Limerick next. He should be announcing a fight soon. It's been over three months since his last fight and he needs to stay active if he wants to improve.

I think he is eligible. I heard that Mammy Hyland was born in Angleterre to Irish parents and then moved home as a toddler. *how the feck do I know this shiite!?!?!*

However, its not as easy as fighting for an Irish title. For an Irish title you just have to be eligible for an Irish passport but for the British title he would have get a British passport.
