Ah for feck sake - I'm in New York from the 12th to the 20th of March and there isnt a legitimate fist to be thrown anywhere in the city. But Duddy Does Dallas and Haughian arrives a week later!
Are you cryin over there brother! I was a little luckier cos they used to show all the SRL cards on Channel 5 in the UK, had to stay up later but they always showed Bernard or "Ireland's Ben" as they called him and fairly hyped him as well. The Cordoba fight was the best sporting occasion I have ever been at so credit goes to Peters as well as Dunne for that.
id say mcdonagh would beat healy aswell the lad is on fire since that english guy has been training him and his brother
sorry to see bernard hang up his gloves .it would of been nice to see him fight munro and retire european champ again i think he would be to much for munro but he done us proud and what more can you ask for:hi:
sad to here hes hanging them up.bn at his last 3 fights.he brought so many new fans to boxing including myself i remember him wining the European title watched it at home with the hole family.will always remember the night against Cordoba glad i was there to witness it
duddy is back to reality... back to his original trainer...back to what even made him under the light...before he got loved and hated. some fighters get that loss and never get that sence back...and some need it. Some boxers need to lose to face reality that they can't walk on water...and it helps them perfect their craft. If you ever hear a boxer complain about money...and train their ass off... you can pretty much know they goin in hard.
Jamie has a long way to go Dean Byrne will be back in the wildcard soon expect him to get up to fringe world level by the end of the year :deal
Yeah I'm a Duddy fan but who's this guy he's fighting on the Pac/Clottey undercard. I don't know much about him...
It's not segregation but as you can see by the response, there's quite a fan base for Irish Boxing. This goes back generations brother...
Taught Bernard would of had a fight to re-gain the EBU Title, and then retired a champion. But i read his interview in the paper this morning he is right to retire now....He said his heart aint in it anymore and the hunger is gone and they are the two main things you need to compete in this game....

No Haughian hasn't left Breen. In actual fact he is helping Sinky prepare for Prizefighter. Expect more of Breens boxers to be added to this New York promotion. I just genuinely can't believe its all over already. That went by in flash. Maybe its a sign I'm getting old or something!
Ya ould fecker Bamster! Dont worry - he will be back, I give it 24 month, nah 18!!! The first time a boxer retires is usually best ignored. Shur we gave Jim Rock, what, 14 retirements?!?
