Hello mick, Ticket master Ireland do all Brian Peters[ the Promoter] ticket sales. With Dungivens Paul McCloskey on the card also, it should be a great night of boxing. They should go on sale soon.

they'll most likely go through ticketmaster, the brian peters promotions has a deal with them i think.

this will most likely be a very easy test for andy, and probable ko,im pretty sure the fight with eastman is still going ahead in NY.it'll be interesting to see how macklin gets on in 08,hes not really had the exposure near the level of duddy or lee,im sure he can go on to euro level but i doubt he'll get any further.mccloskey is looking so good at the minute i wouldnt be surprised for him to collect a euro belt in his next 3 fights, and who knows from there, his style is so unorthodox you just cant tell how good he is.

Lee was born in London of Irish parents who moved back to Ireland when Lee was 11 or 12

Yes Shamrock, Lee was born in London, he actually started his boxing at the Repton club In London. But his parents are Irish and he fights proudly for Ireland. He is every bit as Irish as anyone born in Ireland.

I think Macklin can win a European title soon as can McCloskey.

I BELIEVE McCLOSKEY CAN BEAT COLIN LYNES [EUROPEAN CHAMPION] RIGHT NOW.

Cheers Ardy - I tried Ticketmaster Ireland but at present they have no pending boxing shows. There is no mention of the show on Brian Peters Promotions website either. It could be that tickets are not yet released.

on a sidenote for those irish living in england and cannot receive RTE (never understood why , english or irish blocking ?) RTE is meant to be broadcasting in england this year.

not sure if it is a new channel or we will get the same programmes at the same time .

Not exactly what Lee does, nor what our fighters do, fight with the heart control with the head.

Stand up and fight! We do!

    Thanks Shamrock,

Shamrock,What ever happened to the New Zealand heavyweight boxer who defeated Irelands Cathal O'Grady in 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He looked like a star of the future when he flattened O'Grady.

I think yer talking abt Garth Da Silva Ardy? He gave up boxing and continued his army career. I think there was some controversy with drugs or someting going on. My son was lgt-heavy and went away with Garth, he would know but is on holiday. I'll find out when I see him.

Cheers Ardy, thanks for yor interest in NZ boxing.

That,s him shamrock, I recongise the name. A figther from Belarussia eliminated Da Silva in a fanastic contest at those Olympics. It,s a pity Da Silva never turned pro, he seemed to have real power. Was your son an international boxer?
