No shots of the actual fight because I was using the camera as a video.

Liking the black and white one. That style can really benefit a boxing photo with the authentic, timeless feel.

    Full stars monsieur :good

Yeah b&w is always class. What you need to do next time is have a picture of him sitting with his head bowed, big serious head on him with his hands already wrapped pre-fight. You can't beat the atmosphric b&w shots!

Those shorts get better every time I see the by the way!

I know zip about amateur boxing but thought Tommy was a little hard done too. Maybe get my arse down and speak to him at some point, see what he thought about it.

McCarthy looked gutted by all accounts when Egan was being interviewed.

McCarthy was beaten but probably not by as wide a margin as suggested. Scoring has always been of a poor standard at our nationals but this time was the worst.

McCarthy did look sick but I'd say thats more down to him genuinely believing he is better than Egan. The exuberance of youth and all that. Egan has the amateur game down to a tee. Its pretty obvious McCarthy will take him at some stage as Egan is pretty under motivated at the best of times.

Anyway, once again, the bottom line is that we have a lot of very talented champions. We really are top notch in the amateur ranks

Yeah but Nevin was really poor last night. 2 down in the second. In fairness, he did what had to be done and I think it was 7-5 in the finish.

I'd say as he was 1-50 against, he was thinking of putting money against himself. And he wasn't celebrating the belt either, couldn't wait to get out of there.

Mel Christle rang me on Saturday. It was licensed by the BUI and they will have all the info up on boxrec soon. As far as I know there were six fights, two of which were competitive the others not so much. The whole crowd was Polish as well. Must have just been promoted through their community networks.
