Sky website says they're showing it on the 19th, bbc link posted above says it's this friday. Amateurs.
I wasn't there Friday, was it any better? Saturday was pathetic though. No atmosphere, no people... Way to cut your balls off, IABA. At least the daft scheme will surely be discontinued.
While I am sorry to hear that the lads who made it to this years finals didn't get the crowd and atmosphere they deserved there is part of me that is in some way happy this thing fell on its arse. It was a ridiculous scheme. The makeup of the event was all wrong with novices being included etc.. Splitting over two days was way off the mark also and as for the ridiculous pricing policy. I'd say it was laughable except for the fact that it actually priced me out of the market and I didn't get to see any of the finals in person this year. Jacking up prices in the middle of a recession. What kind of genius came up with that. Honestly, the mind boggles sometimes.
In an artical I read, Gerry Hamill reckoned there was only around 200 people there on Saturday night which is a complete joke!!! You would get around 400 in to one of our club shows. He also said that Stephen donelly should have won and phil sutcliff and someone else I just can't remember who it was agreed with him

Has anyone seen Duddy's opponent yet? He is a real banger - 13 or 14 KOs inside the first 3 rounds. Hope Sky show this. I read that if Duddy comes through this ok - he could be out again in June at the Garden. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=327282&cat=boxer
