No Worrys.......Sure why rush to a title, It will all come in good time...... Anyway whats your verdict on tomorrows fight...What round will Lindsay Spark him out??????
I think your way off the mark there my friend when you say that paulie Hyland is light years ahead of me!!! I'm not one for blowing smoke up my own arse but to say that is ridiculous. Obviously paulie is a very talented boxer but light years ahead of me? I don't think so. As I've said before I'm not a big mouth or anything, I don't go calling people out or any of that shite, it's not my stlye but your wrong you got one thing right tho, there's no rush!

In terms of your professional boxing career he is,Im not talking skills but you have to go through the learning curve of fighting different styles and hardened veteran pros. You have to step through the distances of fights 4 ,6 then 8 rounders before youre even eligible for a shot at any title. No offence meant Carlos i am a big fan but looking for a shot against the Hylands this year is unrealistic.
Yea I was on Brendan bunce spoke well of me and I didn't sound too daft. He reckons he will get me on after another few fights.
8 rounds sounds about right Ulster over Wales - back Lindsay to knock out Arthur Submitted by Frank Monkhouse on 18 March, 2010 - 18:44 This content is protected Sky Sports deliver their Friday Fight Night from the Leigh indoor sports centre this week where Martin Lindsay and Jamie Arthur contest the British featherweight title, live from 10pm. 30-year-old Jamie Arthur is enjoying his second stint in the game after taking early retirement following back to back stoppage defeats almost five years ago. Welshman Arthur was making his way through the ratings in admirable fashion before heavy defeats at the hands of Haider Ali and Harry Ramogoadi brought the Commonwealth games gold medallists world crashing down around him. It was said that the 5ft 9in orthodox couldnt handle life without a vest and head guard but after taking three years to re-evaluate his passion for the sport, Arthur returned to record seven wins on the spin. A convincing points verdict over fancied Harrow fighter Akaash Bhatia was the highlight of his comeback but despite boasting a record of sixteen wins against just two defeats, bookmakers think he should have left the gloves in the closet, trading at as big as 5/1 (Betfred) about an upset. There have been few fighters to immerge from Belfast in recent years that have been quite as impressive as current British champion Martin Lindsay but the 27-year-old promises there is plenty more to come. Mac-Man made all the right moves since making his professional debut in 2004, halting three of his first five opponents, but it was a stunning sixth round KO victory over Paul Appleby in front of a packed Ulster Hall that really announced his arrival in big time boxing. With little between the two talented technicians in the early stages, Lindsay demonstrated his frightening punch power, rocking Appleby before putting the fight to bed in the blink of an eye. With the Scot being previously undefeated and thought of as one of Britains hot properties, people sat up and took note of Lindsays performance, and bookies chalk him up as a red hot 1/5 favourite (Bwin) to make a successful defence. Arthur is a talented operator and I think he has been over-priced here but I see the championship duration proving to be his main stumbling block. I spoke to Arthurs last opponent, Mickey Coveney this week and he said, This should be a great scrap but I really cant see Arthur taking the title home, Lindsay should have too much for him." The champion is a big puncher but with each of Arthurs last five going the distance, this shouldnt be over early. I see Lindsays power coming into play around the half way stage however and the 6/4 (Boylesports) about a stoppage win looks like value. It has been a week of big priced winners at the Cheltenham festival and punters looking to follow that trend may wish to dabble in the 7/2 (Sportingbet) about Lindsay taking this one in rounds 7-12. Tips 2pts Lindsay By KO 0.5pt Lindsay In Rnds 7-12
Good stuff. Buncey is the easiest guy in the world to talk to. I reckon Buncey should get mcguigan on his show - so they can have a straightener:bbb
No offence taken puca and your entitled to your opinions and I'm also greatful for your support but realisticaly I will be hoping to box for some sort of title this year. Possibly a Celtic title then push on for a British title in 2011 some time. I haven't got my head in the clouds or anything but to me thus is realistic. Lindsay win a brit title after 12 or 13 fights so hopefully I can do the same. I'll probs do one more 6 rounder then push on to 8rounds.
Shop around is what I say. Setantabet.com have some odds up for this fight but there is not much difference between them all. Never change what you think and just go for that. For Lindsay to win by KO or TKO is 5/4 that may well be the safest bet if you think he is going to win by KO.
