In fairness Lee's movement on the night was the best I've seen from him in a good while and he seemed alot more confident then he had been previously

He looked to have his "swagger" back.

I think the fact Barker went to hell and back with "The Frenchman" has given him a bit of a boost.

I saw him and I was not too impressed. He got staggered in the first round but it was his pro debut. I'll dismiss it as nerver. But as a whole, I didn't think all that much. Guess we'll see how he develops.

For me in the 160 scene right now the gap in between 1 and 10 is not that much in my opinion. Look Martinez is class you have to give him that and he deserved victory against Pavlik. He is numer uno right now but the likes of Macklin, Pirog, Glovkin, Gevor Sturm would have a real chance against this guy. Yes Martinez would be the favourite for me but I would not count these contenders out. There are a few other names who would have a chance and I think Lee is one of them. There are others too of course. I think the 160 division is wide open at the moment.

 

When will Lee fight again, more inactivity wont help:deal

 

Yeah is it just my impatience or are our lads always inactive. Duddy, McCloskey, Lee, Lindsay etc..

 

Manny was saying he will get a fight in america over the summer then back to limerick for "the Fall"

 

Well Duddy fights often enough, but Lee had several months before he last fought, Mccloskey, Rogan and Macklin havent fought at all this year. Lindsay and Magee have fought only once this year and look to be out until September.

 

Chris O'Brien fighting tomorrow night in Colne meself and "joepenguin" from boards are going up to support.

I think lee would be well suited to Martinez alright he just needs a few decent opponents and he'll be well ready for a top fight like this in an ideal world id love to see him fight Chavez Jr and become WBC no 1 and fight martinez for the title!
