Checa was the main trainer in Eastwoods old gym. He trained McAuley, Close, Espana, Cardova.John Breen then would have been Checa's assitant. He is a top notch trainer. I thought I seen him in the Brazilan's corner on Saturday, during the Murray bout.Cruz and Checa together would be a great team.

in honsety i think bernard shouldnt fight munroe just yet,i think he should go after martinez again and exspell the ghost of summer's past.

o how much id love to see lee vera in the summer, but in honesty there were so many flaws in lee's game am i sure he could beat vera ... NO.

duddy pavlik, jesus when will it be made i'd like to see duddy fight a light punching boxer next, someone like sergio mora and then go after someone like sylvester just to prove that he is past a euro level,if he put in good performances there he's a shoe in for a title fight,i dont care if it's with pavlik, abraham or sturm it just has to be someone.

i think macklin should make a sharp turn to fighting for the ebu belt, maybe fighting someone like wayne elcock and then tackling the ebu belt, everytime i watch him i gain confidence in his boxing ability, don't get me wrong,i dont think macklin is any world beater but i think he has the talent to compete at the top level.

paul mccloskey, what to do,what to do?i just dont know with this kid,all the talent in the world but what happens when he goes up to fight people who hit harder, close the gap faster etc. i think paul malignaggi is very beatable and especially with mccloskeys counter punching abilities, but first he needs more exposure in the wider scale and better competition.

Irish Ropes are saying that Duddys next fight could be in Boston. He needs to improve on his last performance,if he is to compete with the best.Iwould like to see McCloskey v Lynes asap as he would win that fight easy.

Im going to the fights on Saturday,is anyone else going. Any predictions lads. I think Griffin and Im undecided about the Hyland v O'Hara, maybe home advantage could and hopefully swing it in Eddies favour.

Well, maybe he(Rogie) can get a fight with Perez first. With a guy who's tough enough to keep coming and keep punching, and Rogie seems like that type, there's always a puncher's chance. It's just too bad he didn't start a little younger.
At the boxrec forum, (british section), nearly everyone was raving about the tournament anyway, Plenty of action, worth the money, looking forward to more of the same at different weights. Seems to have been a big sucess.

Well guys have to say i wasnt impressed with dunne on saturday, hopefully just ring rust.....but he shouldnt get back in the ring with martinez.....hes just not defensively aware enough and martinez will ko him again.....he's gonna have a struggle getting a european title back again, but has a better chance against munroe than a rematch with martinez.....

This will just make me laugh when lee shows vera for the fighter he really is...a c-class operator, lee wont let anything like this happen again, the kids an a-lister and just got pulled down in the wrong fight...

Talk your **** in the forum bart not here on an irish thread you tosser, and we'l be laughin right here when lee outclasses your man next time out....
