What was the deal with Caseys last win in Canada over the 10-0 opponent? It seems a strange fight to make for a 5-0 fighter from Ireland.

Not that I'm complaining, it was that result that set the alarms bells ringing and caused me to stick the tenner on Casey.

Why vacate this will propel Casey up the rankings and Paulie would do well to beat him. This fight should be made.

Pajo beats Casey at the minute but Paul would never keep Casey off him for the full distance. Plus he hasn't the power to back Willie up. I tell you what, if Casey gets the match made, I may just invest some of my winnings on the badass Big Bang again :bbb

Think i would have to agree with you on that but what about a prizefight Casey versus the Hyland boys,
3 rounds each for the hyland lads versus Bing Bang, best two out of three.:hey:yep
Limerick now has two big time boxers both southpaws but good jesus thats where the simularity ends. :bbb

Man, that was the best prizefighter since Rogie, nearly every fight was a classic. Willie was the man the night for sure:yep

...well it could only work in Carls favour.. look at Carls amateur record and then have a look at Willie's..and i'm not putting down Willie's moment of glory..he fought the perfect fights tonight against limited opposition, ...but Framton is in a different league..:good

Yes Pat frampton has better am. pedigree but three of those guys tonight were class amatures and Willie still won it out so calling it limited opposition might not be correct.

Cheers. It did seem a strange place for him to turn up for no particular reason.

well Gaz there was a st patricks day show on in canada so they wanted to get an irish fighter in with a good looking record.

His team checked out the footage of Cave and they thought it would be an easy nights work!

which it was... he had cave dropped a few times

That's three wins under his belt tonight. He is already ranked 90 on box rec so those victories would probably propel him up to the top 50, maybe 40. Not bad for a nights work. Had he beaten Owen in the final he would have shot up the rankings.

.. granted they were class English and and Welsh Ams, but in the last 5 years due to the High Performance, Ireland has moved well ahead..Carl Frampton is one of those..
