I didn't know there was an am boxrec feck sake makes me wonder what else I don't know.

On another note a Mexican note to be exact here is some news on EL CANELO

Saul Alvarez Eyes a Future Clash With Manny Pacquiao

Mexican welterweight boxing sensation Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, advised ***********.com that he has absolutely no interest in sparring with Manny Pacquiao, but he does want to fight him, and anytime like tomorrow would be just fine.

Canelo, who’s looking super fit and noticeably bigger without being fat, breakfasted lightly on an energy drink matching the color of his hair, while in marked contrast, reporters wolfed down plate loads of scrambled eggs, bread and cakes.

He was on a whirlwind tour of Mexico City to promote his July 10th fight in his home State of Jalisco against durable Argentinian Luciano Principito Cuello, who last year lost a ten round unanimous decision against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. - the only loss in his career so far.

As such Cuello, who’s won twenty six fights, with twelve by KO, is a credible test. Canelo also declared that he’s really motivated to be fighting in front of his own people, and this is a good fight for the learning curve.

Canelo who weighed in a 149 pounds in his last fight against Jose Miguel Cotto on May 1st on the undercard of Mayweather vs. Mosley, overcame a moment in round one where he was seriously hurt - to finally overwhelm Cotto with a ninth round TKO. He said he’s definitely learned a lot from the first of the Cotto encounter, and the fight was an excellent experience, and learning process which is still ongoing. He also added that everyone can have problems with weight, but he’s still comfortable making the welter limit.

Canelo, who’s the NABF Welterweight and WBC Youth Champion, said his future hit list includes Pacquiao, Mayweather, the younger Cotto and Andre Berto. But he respects the advice of WBC President Jose Sulaiman, who’s said the first few months of next year would be a better time for him to go after the ultimate prize.

Asked if he’d like to spar with Manny Pacquiao, Canelo said "no"…adding that he wants to fight him, and next year would be ideal, but if he was advised to fight him tomorrow, then tomorrow it would be!

He sagely added: “I’m ready to fight, but everything has its time.”

I know he;s not Irish lads but I noticed most of ye seem to like him just as if he was .

Ciaran Duffy fights in Glasgow again tonight (good to see him back fighting regularly), Peter McDonagh is up against it in France and "Frampton-Slayer" Martin Ward is on the Napa SKY undercard in Newcastle. Then of course James Moore is on the Cotto-Foreman undercard.

That would be great for Sweeny,Another Irish success maybe?I heard Waldron dosent want to defend his title against him so this would be a better step up for Mike.
Casey is exciting for sure its knock me out or i'll knock you out stuff. Not sure how he will do against a clever box puncher over a longer distance though but it will be fun to watch.:bbb

Can Clark make Welter though he looked big against Donnellan maybe it can be made at a catchweight but it must get made.
I will def be there Willie Casey and Gavin Prunty the two most exciting boxers in Ireland today on the one show.

Exclusive; Wayne McCullough Calls Out Casey

By David Boyle: The recent Prizefighter super bantamweights was won by a stand in fighter, Willie ’Big Bang’ Casey. Now the fighter he replaced, Wayne McCullough wants to set the record straight.

The former WBC bantamweight champion was forced out of the tournament with a hand injury, leading to fellow Irishman Casey entering and winning the Matchroom promoted show. In this exclusive interview Secondsout gets to chat to McCullough about is desire to fight Casey and his future plans.

Wayne started by telling this reporter that he has been motivated by the thought of a showdown with ‘Big Bang Casey’. “ It was Willie who said he wanted to fight me before Prizefighter after I pulled out, so he should put his money were his mouth is”, said McCullough.

After the tournament McCullough sent a message congratulating Casey on his success, which he feels was responded to in a disrespectful manner which has annoyed Wayne.

“All along I supported Willie and hoped he would win the tournament even at my own expense, as he is a fellow Irishman, even though I didn’t personally know Willie,” Wayne explained.

“I had called out Bernard Dunne a few times but all was in good manner and Bernard is a friend of mine and always will be. We had a few back and forth‘s. But he never disrespected me in the way Willie did and that’s why I want to fight him. It was Willie that called me out, and it is Willie who has everything to gain from fighting me, I have nothing to gain from fighting Willie.”

This reporter asked Wayne if he thought Brian Peters, Casey’s promoter would want to make the fight, “As soon as I pulled out of the fight I contacted Barry Hearn and asked him to make a fight for me with whoever won Prizefighter,” said McCullough. “However, he said it depended on the promoter that the winner was signed to.

“ I called out Bernard and Brian never offered anything and it may be the same in Willie’s case, added Wayne.

“If Willie wants the fight I’ll fight him no problem”.

Without disrespecting anyone McCullough feels he would have stopped all his opponents in Prizefighter given his experience over the rest. McCullough believes Esham Pickering would have been the toughest but he is now past his best.

“ I knew about the tournament well before anyone else and had been training for two months for the Prizefigher training three times a day with intense intervals just like the tournament itself.

“ I mean in the second Casey fight with Wale (Josh) they both threw around 550 punches together were as I can do that and do all the time in training on my own.

“ In my world title fight with Oscar Larios I threw 190 punches in the last round”, Wayne insisted.

“Willie wouldn’t know what the deep trenches is like after 10 or so rounds like me and Bernard would and that would show”.

The ‘Pocket Rocket’ was asked what keeps him going at this late stage in his career. “ I love boxing, its what I do, not many young fighters like getting up in the morning to run yet I love it and never stop it”.

Regarding the Future Wayne explained, “ My wife Cheryl and I have been talking to Golden Boy, Bob Arum, Goosen Tutor and Frank Warren, telling them that I would fight any of their top ten fighters but the answer is always no. The fact that I have never been on the floor and with my work rate shows that I’ll be a tough fight for anyone and no one wants to risk fighters but I’m available.

“With Prizefighter it was different they would have had to fight me”.

On his final thought about fighting Casey, Wayne said: “ I went twelve nil with eleven knockouts against tough Mexican opponents, whereas Willie Casey is now eight nil with five knockouts against weak opponents”

In closing McCullough said: “After big wins some people start to believe in their power and hype. Willie called me out in the beginning so lets see if he really wants the fight, he will benefit more from it than I will”.

Give it a few fights and when Casey is still smashing heads the selling the UL won't seem such a big ask
