constant success will bring more attention...i hope:thumbsup

on another note.. it would be good to see some of these amateur stars turn pro after the olympics... but i read somewhere { most likely on here} that nevin is retiring after those games... strange decision if true:huh

Yeah I seen that I nearly choked on my fish and chips. Or did they say his Kings Hall debut?

Carlos on RTE news could this be the new face of Irish boxing. Like Kenny Egan was after the Olympics I reckon there were a couple of ladies taking notice of Carlos. Next he will be pictured in 1 of the morning rags coming out of a club with some slag off Fair City or IF hes lucky Michelle Heaton or Kerry Katona.:yep:yep:smoke:smoke

Nevin Has the best footwork and ring movement I've seen in a long time it would be nothing short of a disaster if he didn't stay the game either amateur or go pro.

I hope its just a bit of a case of chinese whispers because it would be a crime for someone as young and talented as Nevin to end up hanging up his gloves at age 23-24.

That said, if he doesn't fancy it beyond a certain point, then there is no point in him sticking at it.

Thanks for the inclusion on your update Ardy.

I've not yet seen young Frampton, could someone fill me in about him, style, potential etc.

    Just been browsing about,

Jason Booth is to fight Steve Molitor on July 23rd for the IBF

    AND.............

Brian Peters has won the purse bids for the EBU super-bantam weight title

But going by the small print, he has to have the show within 60 days of winning purse bids, which will bring us into the end of July / Start of August........

Haven't been up to Ligoniel in a while, good to hear they are getting on alright. Sean McAuley is a decent fella and running the place single-handed since Eddie O'Neill left.

Might have gone up to their show if it wasn't clashing with the King's Hall.

Booth v Molitor eh? I think Molitor will handle him quite easily given that Matthew Marsh gave Booth fits in the first half of that fight. Wide points decision for Molitor I reckon.

I'm not doubting you on the EBU thing Adam but their site is pretty **** poor for information sometimes so I wouldn't believe anything too concrete just yet! Hopefully he has won the bid though

Ah i know that they are poor at times, Just taught it was worth a post,
Should give us something to keep an eye on.

But if Booth is fighting for the IBF, Who will fight Kiko for the EBU Title????
