The Dubs got Armagh thats going to make or brake them this year to be honest. Still think they have the firepower to do well in the All Ireland but we are lacking in the defence. We are missing Paul Griffin in the defence this year. Add to that Cahill has not been his usual self. If we get by Armagh I will be happy and a I wont fear a draw against the beaten Provence finalists this year. I still think this Dublin team could make it to a quater final at least and if they hit form and defend well a semi final.

I think ye have a tough game against Armagh but the winners of that would be fancied against limerick, louth or the losers of connaught.
I honestly cant see ye being competitive against one of the top teams though. I reckon ur hurlers could mae the semi final though depending on how the draw goes. look a good outfit

Tommy it is a shame that the hurlers dont get the support they deserve here but like Kerry Dublin to the Dublin fans are a football county. The amount of money pumped in at grass roots over the last few years has been mainly into hurling as the football team were still a top side. A bit like Limerick in Munster there football team is starting show there skills while the hurling in Limerick is hitting new lows. The hurlers are lucky the competition here with the Cats and Galway will make them a stronger team.

Footballers on the other hand know that it is make or brake for a lot of them and Gilroys time in the hotseat. After a decent league showing earlier this season going to Kerry and beating them I expected a lot more than what I have seen so far which is a crying shame. Still the younger lads need to get more games under there belts and in years to come they will get better over the next few years.

And back to boxing - Maher is out again on the Hatton undercard. Its his fifth fight in eight months.

I doubt he will get an airing on SKY but I will have a report up on boxing-ireland.com

Good fights for Prunty and MC Donagh but Fitz against Townley is a bit of a let down.Townley is supposed to be a tough lad alright but 1 win from 4 fights, this is not the type of opponent Anto should be looking for.
Mc Donagh will have a tough night against a game Tolan he can fight a bit aswell and of course the main event, this is the big one for Prunty will he be outshone by the flamboyant and slightly nuts Greaves.....I think not.
Still Greaves despite his crap record is no pushover saw him boxing ***an in dublin.
Also i see that Sweeny is on in Las Vegas at the end of the month he has a handy opponent http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=107186&cat=boxer
Sweeny has boxed in the states twice and is still without a win there but he should be ok here.Is he still on the City west show?

According to King Sweeney of Ballinrobe he wont be fighting in Vegas.

Greaves is a bit of a dirty fighter and "acting like a biatch" against Kieran Maher in there fight in Altrincham in January (there is the benchmark Prunty!) - however Greaves got stopped by Tyrone Nurse (not known as a punchers) and I saw him stopped in the first in Doncaster last week (not sure what implications that has for him fighting in August) so looks like he is fading because he never used to get stopped.

When i watched Greaves he really was durable so maybe he is on the slide if so a good decision by Dolphil to get their top man in with him.

I know who he is but don't know how good he is or what his plans are. Here is little clip of him training and talking. Seems like a decent lad with a good attitude and I'll be sure to keep an eye out for him.
