Irish boxing ought to be prohibited.

ignore him , Bart is anti-Irish for no apparent reason . Possibly jealous of Ireland's rich boxing history for such a small nation compared to Holland(which has very little) .

Are you watching the amateurs. Sutherland did well.

Ya I watched it , Sutherland did well to come back and in truth dominate the last 2 rounds . For some reason I get this horrible feeling he's not going to make it to the Olympics .

I think he'd suit very well to the pros , he's a very strong guy and punches well to the body , seems to have a very good chin too . Those factors are less important in the amateurs and I feel style wise the pros would suit him better too . Hopefully he makes the Olympics .

Barnes looks very good at the moment , hopefully he can keep improving .

Con Sheehan is someone I knew very little about before the championships but I liked the look of him . Certainly loads to improve on but an 18 year old heavyweight who looks to have plenty of potential so he may become something to get excited about .

Barnes looked good but Moores corner looked disgusted that there man wasnt getting any points scored... it was strange when they threw in the towel.

Hello Fra, It did seem odd Moores corner retiring him with only a minute left, but the right man won in the end.Lets hope for more Irish representation at the games. Egan, Sutherland and Sheahan are the best hope we have.

I think sutherland could make a good pro as well. I hope he stays in Ireland if he does turn professional and not go to britain or america.

Is anyone going to the Lee fight. I heard that its sold out already.

I got tickets when they were released on Monday morning - but they were all sold out within 20 minutes. Tickets are now available at 2 or 3 times face value on e bay.

Hated to see O'Neill lose at middle, how'd he look though? Anyone know how old he is?

Ardy what did you think of the heavyweight,Con Sheehan? What is his style like?, Although the amateur points system dictates style to some degree, right?

Had no chance to see any of it over here.
