    Top class Cormac:good, well done to you and the boys at Irish Boxing.com . Every article was excellent, and a lot of great points raised worth discussing[I could talk all day on this]

    1 Padraig's piece hammered home the fact that there is going to be conflict between Egan and Peters. There is no need for this, in actual fact, it's petty and childish. I have always maintained the more TV coverage of Irish professional boxing,the better it is for the sport here.I thought Setanta Ireland would have got involved in broadcasting Irish boxing, but TV3 involvement is by a large degree better[Although I can't get TV3 through my SKY box:|]. Let's hope one of these promoters grow up and take a step back, for the sake of the fans.

    2. The article on Rogan brought to light the bigotry in the north again. Some unionists I spoke to about Rogan's prizefighter victory, revealed their annoyance at Rogan being draped in the Irish tricolour after his victory,and that he has ostracized himself from the unionist community. My anwser to these people is, when Rogan fought in unionist East Belfast last year, the crowd booed Rogan because he was from republican West Belfast,and cheered his English opponent, so why should Martin give a toss about what unionist think.

    3. The high performance team are a credit to not only Irish boxing, but to Irish sport in general.Long may their success continue.:good

    4. Alex Maskey has a reputation of being a "hard man" of Irish politics [you forgot to mention he was shot and left for dead in 1985], and he cearly loves his boxing. Another famous rebublican who boxed for years was Martin Meehan [who died recently]. Up until 10 years back he was still boxing in charity exhibition bouts with "coco" Mc Auley[ father of former Irish pro Eamonn]. They raised a lot of money, and entertained full houses whenever they boxed.:hi:

    I know, Im moving to Belfast next year and would like that sorted out. does it not work with a big ariel? I think part of the problem is ITV own a chunk of it and UTV dont want them coming in and crowding their market

    He's definitely making waves at the minute anyway. Brian Peters is having a press conference tomorrow for the Dunne bill. Macklin might be on it too.

    great work cormac,some nice articles in there.

    what do you boys think of andy murray?you think he can go far euro title at lightweight?he is doing very well at the minute and has a great boxing technique along with a decent punch.

    I like watching Murray and hope he can go far. He has just been leagues above everyone so far so I would like him to step up - ideally against Oisin ***an. I think that would give us a fair idea of what level he will reach. I think that would be a great bill topper for when the Ulster Hall opens early next year.

    Yes Cormac, fair play to you, couldnt or wouldnt ask for better. Surely Murray and ***in is in pipeline.

    Its not ideal and hopefully some arrangement can be reached. They are both shaping up to be bills I want to be at and it would kill me to miss one. Even if one was taken to Belfast this would help but to have both in the same city doesnt help anyone.

    I would be more concerned with the clash of tv dates than cities, but I know where your coming from.TV3 might walk away from their tv boxing venture if RTE giving them a kicking here.

    what do you boys make of gomez fighting khan in june,surely he is just being fed to the wolves,he is not really an opponent to get khan ready for a world title shot and he is far to small for khan.
