to recieve tv3 in belfast...or england...
get the dish fitted at the belfast or uk address, where you'll be living..
then a few weeks after recieving the viewing card...ring sky...tell them that you have had to relocate to republic of ireland...use a reletives address {like an aunt, uncle, mum, dad...who dont mind you doing it and getting the new viewing card sent to them}...tell sky that you have had fitted your dish to your new house {in the republic} but was told that you should contact sky to get your card changed to an irish card...

now...at this point i should say that this is what i did...excatly, except the other way round {i used an aunts address in england...i wanted to get channel 4 at the time}...the card was sent to her, no problem...and i got me channel 4 in sligo...{channel 4 wasnt available in ireland at the time}

you can tell sky that your billing / direct debit etc will remain at the uk / belfast bank due to your business interests being based there..

now...with an irish card you miss the itv channels and some bbc channels...but these can easily be added manually..and are available through / with the irish card...

 

Sounds like a lot of hard work. Think I'll just go to the fights instead:yep

There is meant to be a show (Allio Wilton) is doing the weekend I was planning and the last thing I want is a clash - so usually it will be a friday or Saturday but the first one will probably be a Thursday.

Right the evening is taking shape. Its provisionally Thursday 29th May in Belfast. It'll be about £5 in. The format I've been toying with is a classic fight featuring a special guest, followed by an interview with said guest, then a free raffle for a signed glove or something, then a couple of pints and a chat. What do you think? Oh and the special guest is Neil Sinclair!!!! I just need a venue.

 

sounds good - toying with the idea of flying over from Manchester for it - cashflow dependant!
