Oh c'mon this wasn't Michael Sprott vs Audley Harrison I, where Sprott literally did throw the shot with his eyes closed. Tolan threw a straight, right down the pipe and then followed it up by landing a nice left hook, both shots bang on the chin. You don't land straight punches with your eyes clothes and you don't land combinations with your eyes closed either.

Now JJ may be able to beat Tolan if they were to rematch, I wasn't at the fight but it seems JJ may be able to control Tommy somewhat with his jab.
But you have to fancy that unless significant improvements aren't made in his defence that Tolan would be able to do the same again in a 6/8 round fight.
With 4 rounds maybe it might be short enough for him to avoid getting caught quite as bad again.

But he needs serious improvement, don't try and write this off as some fluke, Tolan knew exactly what he was doing in there.

For a guy that got lucky with a shot with his eyes closed he sure did well following up with a left hook as well.

For the record, I have Tolan (not Toland or Nolan - Tolan) winning Round 1 of the fight as well.

Granted JJ won the second and was winning the third but it wasnt as one sided as you are making out.

One thing you are right about is that JJ will be back and hopefully it was stand him in good sted in the long run. No shame in getting knocked out after that combo - it would have knocked out a horse.

I heard that The McDonagh's fell out with Hyde as he wanted them to go with a more experianced trainer.

I doubt he would have let McDonagh get in the ring with some one who weighed in 10lbs heavier than him that is unless Slapper got the weights wrong on his website

Hopefully Casey's pull out means he will be lined up for the EBU shot. Fingers crossed.

Hope Kiko wins, was watching his fight against Munroe again recently and him against Casey would be one almighty ****ing war. Sparks would fly!:D

**** him. Casey deserves it. If Casey wins, he'll have the balls to fight Hyland in what would be a massive domestic fight. Not so sure Hyland would if the tables were turned. He said he doesn't think Casey is on his level
