Irish boxers crash out in Caribbean Saturday, 11 September 2010 15:40 There was double disappointment for Ireland at the sixth AIBA World Women's Championships in Barbados on Friday night following preliminary round defeats for Ceire Smith and Sinead Kavanagh. Cavan flyweight Smith was beaten 14-1 by Nilmini Jayasinghe of Sri Lanka despite a spirited performance at the Garfield Sobers Gym in Bridgetown. Dublin middleweight Kavanagh lost out 14-6 to Wided Younsi of Tunisia. Younsi was 5-2 up at the end of the first round but Kavanagh bravely fought back to level affairs at 6-6 before the conclusion of the second round. However, the Tunisian kept Kavanagh scoreless while adding another eight points to her total in the final two rounds. Katie Taylor, who is targeting her third consecutive world 60Kg title, meets Neetu Chahal in the last 32 in the early hours of Sunday morning. i reckon fitz will do the business, last 2fights we crackin, long just keeps comin but seems to slow down in later stages of fight where i feel thats wen fitz will catch him and call it aday once and for all, but no doubt it will be a nail bitein fight,

Good peformance by Lindsay. The opponent isnt up to much but Lindsays looked good. Some lovely body punching as well
