Good points but you know there is still a lot of money in john duddy yet, his status is still much higher than lee and macklin for that matter right now.

Lee and his team will have to look elsewhere for a name. Me personally i wouldnt like to see john get a ko loss straight after chavez jr as that surely would be the end of big money for him and lee would stop him imo.

I was at that fight that night and its the first time I have seen the fight on tv the place was buzzing just before the fight.

Also that night Munroe's fans were brilliant for his top of the bill fight with Munroe winning a great support went over for the fight.

I was there too and I still have the programme. Am thinking of auctioning it for charity but maybe I should wait until the peak of the Olympicis when his memory as a boxer will come straigh back in to the lime light for the way he lived as an Irish hero.

I heard Timms is looking for a fight with Coley Barret in the limerick show.Has Timms ever even boxed at heavy as a pro?I belive he sure is tough enough but wheter Peers will go for it is another thing.
I heard Peters was looking for Barret to fight Declan Timlin in an all Galway clah of the big men maybe this makes more sense.Who else is on i assume Alan Donnellan is on as he is based in Limerick,Is Jamie Power finished up or what?

I have a postcard from the boxing team of the 1992 Olympic Boxing team. I got it off Michael Carruths auntie offen wonder what I would get for something like that if I was willing to sell it:think. Signed by the greats such as Carruth , Paul Butimer , Kevin McBride , Paul Douglas , Paul Griffin and Wayne McCullough. It also gives the weights of the fighters aswell. If I was to get rid I would wait until the London games were it will be 20 years old and should be worth some money you would think.

Just on another note, Yuri Voronin is ranked number 9 in the FeatherWeight division, So does that mean if Carlos beats him he will be ranked in the top 10, and if so what weight divison will it be at?? SuperBantam or Feather????

 

think a fighter needs to have at least 10 fights to be ranked adam

 

I was kinda thinking that myself, but if he did get ranked that means we would have 3 ranked irish fighters in the SuperBantam weight division, which is excellent.....

Peters has 2 lined up and McGuigans 1, Is there anymore on the cards? i cant see DolPhil having one this side of xmas, im sure they will be putting all their time into casey for November, Is Barry McGuigan gonna have another before xmas???????

 

ya i seen that on greenjab facebook page about tims v barrett, and tims reckons it be a good fight but only for 5rounds, i also see abit of talk between lee murtagh and antony fitz, would be another good one for the cards, especially with way things are shapin up on facebook, as for timlin id not bank on him, he will say he take fight but seems to pull out close to time, rogan barrett, tims barrett, or mcbride barrett
