Not sure Andy Lee will ever be let forget the name 'Brian Vera' in the US.

Would love it if he shut them up for once and for all on Oktober 2. Vera's on the slide too.

He looks like he's sparring a kid the way he just paws away and bangs... I'd like to see him against some better opposition soon, admittedly the way he dealt with the ever-game Sipos at the UL in May was pretty assured

I'd rather he kept busy knocking this fcuker out than went a few months without a fight.

Andy Lee is still young. Not a sprin chicken but still has time. Let's just hope Manny Stewart can deliver on his promise for march 2011. Get this fight against any 160 belt holder and confirm it then we can all get excited.

How da F*CK do you lads boxing stay disciplined on the diet - especially in this country!
I reckon Irish boxers must find it much harder then other boxers to adop to boxing given our drink culture. I've been good this month on the exercise but not so good on the booze sitation and I'm going to pay dearly for it in 3 weeks

Taylor is voted 'Boxer of the Tournament'

    Monday, 20 September 2010 09:39
Katie Taylor has been named 'Boxer of the Tournament' at the AIBA Women's World Championship in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Bray fighter won her third World gold medal on Saturday night, taking an 18-5 verdict over Chinese fighter Cheng Dong. The had to overcome adversity in her semi-final against Queen Underwood of the USA, prevailing by 18-16 after a fraught final round.
She took the 'Boxer of the Tournament' award - voted for by the participants - for the second time having claimed it two years ago as well.

Taylor is set return to Dublin from the Carribbean at around 4pm later today.
