    Acosta and Garcia but no Perez.

    I thought Pajo was using next week as a warm up for his EU title shot against Simion in Dec?
    But that fight doesnt seem to be on anymore- anyone got any info on this?

    That fight is gone off BoxRec, Nobody knew who put it up there in the first place, the Purse bids are due soon for the EU Title anyway, So hopefully Pajo can fight for it before the year is out

    Surely a good thing if he is and can win it. Can only raise the profile of the Cubans here and lead to big fights on these shores

    Are they waiting till the last minute to announce this so as not to scare the competition into withdrawing. Fingers crossed.

    Does anyone have info on Gary O'Sullivans position. Has he got a licence to fight in UK and are things still good to go with Frank Warren?

    The Cuban lads, Are they entitled to fight for a European Title??????????

    The are living in a European Country and have had all their fights in Europe.

    BUT.......are not of European nationality?????????????


    I dont know if you had to be a national or even a citizen in a european country,

    this is the rules from the website

    Article 3 - Eligibility
    To be eligible to take part in a contest for a European Championship a Boxer must :
    3.1. be at least 18 years of age ; and
    3.2. be domiciled and a national of a European Country ; and
    3.3. have boxed at least five of his last ten fights in Europe.
    3.4. be licensed by an Affiliated National Association ; and
    3.5. be approved by the E.B.U. Council.
    3.6. not holding any World Title of any Federation.



    so im guessing if they can get a irish passport they can fight for one

    why do they need an Irish passport - its says you have to be a domicile not a citizen

    am I reading that wrong?

    as far as i am aware they are not eligable they need to become an irish national to qualify
