No doubt he is still a big ticket seller in Belfast but he is 1 defeat away from calling it a day to be fair. We dont know if he injury is fully healed up we will find that out when he steps in the ring in Limerick but if he cant throw the punches and get the power into his shots I would advise him to call it a day. Nobody likes to see a fighter take too much punishment in the ring and you would hope he knows when to call it a day and retire.
ffs that him fight before we bury his career... the man needs to earn money... so good luck to him:deal
Peters was saying that he isnt going to rush Roggie- he will manage him smartly! They are targeting a European shot firsts! thinks he can make that happen. I wouldnt advise anyone not to question Roggie's age or fitness to his face, the big man was adament he is fit, has the balls and the heart to go all the way. He also said he would consider going back to Breen's if they had clear the air talks. Seems a big Breen fan. Have to say its great to have him back- real characther as is Casey! The winner of NOV 6 will defo fight Paulie- which is more good news, but Kiko was adament he'll win both and then fight for a world title. Peters said Poonsawat was on to them inquiring about the situation! I talked to Poonsawat's manager last week he said they would love to come back here but would want the money Cordoba got! there was lots more info (the presser was an hour long) but i dnt want to do any papers out it!
All good news, I reckon Rogie still has it TBH, A boxers punch is the last thing he loses.... Hopefully its just a warm up fight before he smashes up Coleman Barrett within 3-5 rounds....... And Poonswat wanting the same money as Cordoba????? what was that, i heard it was around the 250k mark, but i could be wrong....... I cant see Peters forking that out, unless it was a dead cert to sell out the o2 again which is very doubtful, unless you have a massive undercard.... Like a fight with either Duddy, Lee or Macklin fighting each other, It could be the Irish Magnicifent 7, Frankie Gavin over too to defend his Irish Title against Oisin ***an or Dean Byrne.

He wont get that sort of money anyway.. I likle poon though, he's fighting this weekend, should win. I'd like to se him step up again and fight one of the top super-bantams in the division instead of hiding out in Asia
I am absolutely delighted about the news of Rogie's return on the undercard of the Casey-Kiko - happy days.
I woudnt say he's hiding out in Asia, the majority of fighters from there, particularly Thailand, are managed terribly.
Lads can't find on ring tv site anything about j kav any help please ? Does Damien Brady know anything ?
goto ring tv then click on fight night club which is beside home news blog etc.. and youll get the stram yet dont think it will be on for a while

The balance of power has entirely shifted out to asia at SBW. Poonsawat, Nishioka, Hosono, Shimoda and this Masaki Serie (who I've never see I don;t think). Then you have Molitor, Mathebula and Monroe. There's not a lot of 'big' fights out there at SBW. At the minute Poonsawat is 'the man'. It's not in his interest to go prancing over to Europe unless there is a few quid in it. I'd say the biggest fight he could make would be against Nishioka. I don't know if that would sell a big hall and make either man enough money to make it worth getting it on. Molitor is the biggest non-asian name and he's not going to make you millions by fighting away in Canada against him. Munroe will slide down the rankings when he gets beaten by Nishioka. If he wants to build a legacy of taking out top contenders he can stay in Asia and do it. If he wants to get paid he needs to move up to FW. For the record he'd murder Casey anyway unfortunately
Pretty much, I dont think Poonsawat-Nishioka would do well in Thailand but I think it would be huge in Japan. Your right, the majority of the best SBW's are in Asia, or at least most of the highly-rated guys. I couldnt see Munroe or, unfortunately, Casey beating most of the guys you listed.
Hoo-ray "Big Rogie" ... great news! He sure seems hungry and serious... Hope he tears em up! Does anyone know who he trains with now? Not that I'd know him anyway But does going back to his old trainer, Breen, seem like a good move to any of youse:think
