Duddy V Lee the biggest all Irish fight for a long time and it will be staged in the US. This fight should of happen in Ireland. Anywhere over here it would sell huge numbers and it is such a shame that the biggest fight in Irish boxing wont happen here it is madness. Sort for here even have the fight on at 1am or 2 am in the morning for US telly if need be.
It sounds to me like this is all up in the air at the moment. Reading between the lines I'm not sure if any promoters in the US are actually interested in putting this on which seems strange. Maybe Lee and Duddy are looking for too much money?
Actually I think its a decent step up for Paulie. :good http://boxing-ireland.com/20101020_paulie_hyland_andrey_bogdanov_60.html
Not sure how old this news is, but Macklin faces Ruben Varon, 11th Dec http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=14511&cat=boxer
:deal To be fair though, it's not as if he hasn't tried to make big fights. Barker pulled out and Lee ducked a fight against him in March.
I've never seen the lad fight so it is his lack of KO power (4 of 11 inside the distance) I was refering to. To be fair, though, I wouldn't expect him to take chances on the verge of an EBU title fight thats been 5/6?? years in the making
any more on lindsay... it said in the paper he was fighting an 8rder before simpson in the next few weeks... where would not be
