Styles maked fights Munroe is has a better chin and is more solid than dunne and i dont see dunne lasting tweleve rounds with the Jap either but Munroe is not a big puncher and dosent have Dunnes boxing skills.A slick boxer will always trouble Munroe and Dunne is that. Dunne by ud id say

Right so does this european title fight mean that the Irish and EU titles are now vacant??Does Paulie not have to give these up to pursue the big one...If so Frampton versus Eugene Heagney just after christmas for the celtic and Irish crowns (walsh is not going to happen although it would be great)

Jaysus I like Heaghney the last thing he needs is a beating off Carlos. I'm not talking bollocks and bigging him up there either. Carlos would knock holes in Heaghney

Munroe has none of the attributes "that Jap" has so that theory holds little weight. Munroe is tough and has a great chin but is essentially an averagely skilled, light punching featherweight fighting at superbantam to give himself some kind of advantage over his opponents. Watching Nishioka give him such a beating just confirms my thinking that Dunne - who wasn't as good as Nishioka but would have had a lot of the same advantages - speed, power and technical ability - would have boxed circles around him.

*Settle down Munroe bandwagon jumpers, it's just my humble, well thought out opinon. :D

It comes down to this. If Dunne was well conditioned enough (McGurn regime again) and could resist from getting involved in a scrap and letting Munroe lean on him and work in close then he wins.

If Dunne gets all macho then he invites trouble and its up for grabs.

I was surprised how badly hurt Munroe was as early as the 5th from body shots. It makes me wonder what a serious, serious puncher (not that Nikiosha is a mug by any means) might do to Munroe. Also keep in mind, despite the fact he lasted the 12, it did look like Nishioka could have been better conditioned

you think Munroe stops Acosta? Munroe would have a job stopping any of these three fighters because hes not a big puncher but theres no way that he beats Acosta. Acostas is just a better fighter than munroe, id favour him to beat Munroe fairly handily in 18 months time though

Yeah that would be a good one alright. Although, Carlos may prefer to go the British title route. It all depends what opportunities arise and when.

I like the idea of the loser of the EBU fighting Carlos for the Irish. However, if you're Hyland or Casey coming off a loss at EBU level do you really want to chance your arm making it two losses in a row taking on Carlos? Probably not!

Or get back in the mix straight away with a win over a much fancied up and comer.Depends how they look at it,i think there is much more chance of Casey doing this than Hyland.

Not at all but if he did lose im sure daddy hyland would plot a safe, steady and time consuming way back for him whilst Willie and/or Dolphil would be more likely to try and get back in the spotlight sooner rather than later.

Anyone heard any more about Rogie fighting on the card with Lindsay that would be some night for the Mac boys.
Any definite date or location for this yet?Would that mean Rogan would pull out of the castlebar show as im sure figting in Belfast would be much more financially rewarding for the big man.
