Any basis whatsoever for this or just on the wish list?Id say jj mac against Long would be more likely and if Fitz is moving down to middle will himself and spike get it on at long last,Would be great matching for march 19th,

Its just what I am hearing on the jungle drums. I know Murtagh is saying that the cut was from another butt and isnt happy that it didnt at least go to the score cards.

Wouldnt Tommy Tolan be more deserving of a shot than JJ?

Especially as Tolan basically sacrificed himself against Tony Jeffries to get an 8 rounder so that he was eligible.

Speaking to Jj yesterday and he seems to think he is next in line for the title . Wouldn't tolan be on a ban after that devastating ko?

Well I think there is a 30 day suspention after any stoppage, but obviously that will be up.

Well with all due respect to JJ, Tolan and Long - Tony Jeffries is in a different league and a genuine Light Heavyweight. Tolan is a blown up Light Middleweight really.

I wouldnt read much into getting beaten by Jeffries.

A rematch between JJ and Tolan would be a fair contest with the winner facing the winner of Long-Murtagh.

I see JJ beating Tolan on points in a rematch if he could stay away from the bombs. but Tolans KO over JJ is fair enough reason why he shouldnt be discounted in terms of his entitlement to have a crack at the Irish title.

But where "fairness" works its way into boxing politics in a whole different ball game.

pascal told dom o'leary that spike would take fight against fitzer in may think dolphil are hoping to get fitzy a shot at the wbf proper in march but would rather see him fighting spike.

Ohh... Big gamble for Paulie to take after the Casey loss. I thought Paulie would have moved up to FW or had a comeback fight against some Latvian and then fought a few half decent Euro fighters to keep him in the running for a showdown with Kiko for EBU title.

I would fancy Acosta to beat Paulie. Its a long way back for Paulie if he loses this :deal

I would guess Paulie v Acosta is the main undercard fight before the Casey fight. Not a bad fight to have on. Was there any other fights added to the card?
