well im planning on having the few pints on the night of the fight. so it suits me that I don't have to be racing to the airport the following morning while hungover. Believe me I'm only heading to the Pale for the greater good which I hope will be me witnessing the fantastic victory of Willie Casey. I'll be back in the people's republic soon enough. Pity the fight was moved from millstreet actually.

Don't forget all the dudes of Irish decent who fought out of the US: Demspey, Braddock, Sharkey, Quarry.... Tommy Morrison (Morrison is an Irish name) even Ali was descended from an Irishman. :yep

Bought me tickets from Ticketmaster for the McCloskey fight. I remember refusing Hogan stand tickets for the Limerick Kilkenny 2007 final, because I wanted Hill 16 tickets. Ended up with no tickets:-(

At least I can relax now and not be worrying about the tickets.........

Well there are plenty of tickets with Team McCloskey now and the hold-up seems to have sorted itself

Enjoyed that, Cormac pretty muched summed up my thinking of this contest. Paul has every chance as long as he's not blitzed early, and the longer it goes the better chance he has of blind siding Khan and hurting him.

Other news is that Graham Earl is looking to run a show in Belfast on the 2nd of April. It's in conjunction with Team Alio, so expect Luke Wilton, Michael Harvey and all the rest of that stable. But for me the pro debut of Pagraig McCrory is the most anticipated feature of this event. McCrory was an excellent amateur, he won about twenty fights in a row at one stage picking up all sorts of Uslter and Irish titles[ stopping another one of Earl's Irish prospects Joe Hilerby for the junior Antrim title in the process].Marc Morris and Mark Ginley from the Gleann club turn pro the same night, they have also signed for Earl.

That is great news about Earl/Alio show in April - looking forward to that and seeing McCrory et al make their pro debuts.

I just listened to Cormac piece and excellent analysis - I wholly agree with his reading of this fight.

Right, I am sick of "theres only one.............Yadda Yadda!" I think we can come up with something original for the Dudey Army in Manchester. How about this to get us bouncing? -

I just cant get enough, I just cant get enough,
I just cant get enough, I just cant get enough,

When I think of Dudey, I go out of my head
I just cant get enough, I just cant get enough
All the things he did to them and everything he said
I just cant get enough, I just cant get enough

They slip and slide as you knock them out
And I just cant seem to get enough of

    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du
    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du - Da - Du - Dudey
    Du - Du - Du
