I don't fancy his chances, Belgecham is too crafty and experienced

Karl Brabazon a cool lad sparred him many times, he's head coach in lucan bc ,really think he'll beat triple j, My only prediction beaten is mclaughlin so i'll stick karl in now. By the way i haven't seen this guy Mcdonagh yet but has beaten some very good fighters last few years and i think he might just shock donovan but i'll stick with eric for now but only just.
I can't see ward beaten kenny stil not big enough for 81kg me thinks and davey joe joyce might just have the edge over him. Friday the night to go this weekend eight seniors champions on from last year.

We all like the boy Duddy but unless Irish Fight of the Year is the new slang for lopsided beatdown of the year then I can't agree with that one even slightly

Did you even watch the fight Bam Bam?

Duddy was a ahead on my card until the second half of the fight. It was a thrilling and enthralling fight with toe-to-toe action throughout.

Which fight did you consider more entertaining?

I watched the fight and I gave Duddy one round. Round 2. It was a one sided fight. Duddy was game and it was exciting all the same.

It seems they're trying to back up the very brash talk that has been behind Fitzgerald. Fairplay I suppose, if he can manage to beat Belghecham then the calls to fight Lee will look a lot more justified. When your best win is over Lee Murtagh it just looks a bit silly to be calling out fighters of that calibre but this could change that.

Unfortunately I think Belghecham will be too strong and too tough for Fitzgerald. Seeing as it's over 12 rounds he might even grind out a stoppage.

Yeah I watched it. And have watched it a few times. Duddy was in it for the first 3 rounds then got the head jabbed off him by a far superior opponent. Chavez dominated him throughout. Honestly it wasn't even close to being close. And I'm hometown optimist when it comes to scoring

It was more fist to face than toe to toe. Duddy will stand there and try and bang with anyone but Chavez outclassed him. I was supporting Duddy and I thought he'd show the young pretender up and predicted as much but I have to admit to what I saw. He got the chops slapped off him that night.

We're all allowed have differing opinions and boxing will create those but I'm surprised you think that Duddy-Chavez was close or enthralling.

I'd have had McCloskey v Lauri (scrappy but absorbing with a dramtic late one punch KO), Frampton v Voronin (young kid shows his class with punch perfect demolition of seasoned pro) or my own choice Patrick Hyland v Coveney.

If being entertained is what wins FotY then Coveney being a huge underdog and leading Hyland and looking like causing the upset only to be taken out with one punch then I reckon that was the most enteraining for me.

Certainly more entertaining than watching Duddy take a very slow and methodical drubbing without ever looking like having a chance

I thought Casey-Hyland was FOTY - I havent been buzzing watching and Irish fighter (or fighters in this case) since Dunne's title fights. It only lasted a few rounds but it was brilliant stuff:good

It seems a bit **** that the fight isnt looking likely to be shown. Or could it be that they wont announce it until the tickets they announced going on sale is sold or close to being sold out. It is still early and there is still time for them to show it so I think it is more of a wait and see. But fair play to TV3 for putting him on there show and them highlighting that the fight is on to the part time fight fans around the capital I would expect that they will sell a couple of tickets after that today.
