Competition for Dunne tickets up on Irish-boxing.com. A few new articles as well. New audio (Jim Rock, Brian Magee and Bernard Dunne) this afternoon.
HBO actually has a tentative date for this in late January. So, as long as both guys win their next contest, it should happen then. I just posted an article that Pavlik's manager is having doubts that the fight would draw enough attention with the general public to pay both fighters. I think both guys want this fight enough that money won't be that big an issue with them. Now the promoters and managers might disagree on that.
Even though i was disapointed big rogie was taken off the july 5th card I have to say im really looking forward to seeing this fight
As I said before, its going to be a great night of Irish boxing on the 19th, Lee on rte and Rogan on setanta.:yep Spoilt for choice.:hey
It depends if he gets a good offer. There arent many fighters at his weight domestically so he could get into British, Commonwealth and even Euro pretty quickly. will wait and see. And he still isnt that old - and asides from the Pacheco and Maldrottu rematch he never took a lot of punishment
i hope so...i really do...but even this well exposed harrison is a huge class apart from the prizefighter fellas
Although us Irish are all optimistic of a Irish win, I think Warren has made this match with the thought that Rogan will fall at the hands of the more talented Harrison.:think
Rogan is very tough and very game but Audley should have too much for him . The upside is that Rogan will force Audley to fight so we'll be in a good fight no matter what . Rogan has to watch Harrison's left uppercut, it's not the quickest shot in the World but it's quick enough to land on Rogie, and the way Rogan comes in Harrison will look for that shot . It's got cracking power behind it too, the only punch Harrison throws with genuine World Class force . That said if Harrison comes in, in the mood he was for the first Williams fight or the Guinn fight he could find himself in trouble . However Harrison by ko in the mid rounds for me .
This is by far the biggest fight to be made at middleweight - its the promoters job to make the general public watch it.If this fight doesn't drum up enough interest then boxing is in trouble.
Does anyone know if Verno Philips is any good and if Duddy would beat him because it's about time we had a champion from the north?
