Magee showed he belonged on the world stage so wouldnt surprise me to see him fight the winner of steiglitz or sartisan(both winnable imho) as he is now a credible opponent after last nights performance .

 

Maybe if he can get a few wins under his belt he might get a shot though. Saritson might give him a shot if he think magee looks beatable.

ya won on points and was coasting. Was meant to be 6 rounds but only went 4 for some reason. The opponent hadnt even been told. He was ready for the fifth

 

Yeah I saw a few of Levan's corner motioning and shouting to Mutu, saying "it's a four, it's a four" in a 'pack and up and go home' sort of way, but Mutu's lot had a point. It said six-threes in the programme and they were told a six so can't just change it to a four without telling anybody!

 

I was delighted when willie casey lost last night, I went there hoping he would win, but after the behaviour of his fans I was hoping rigondeaux would kill him and sure enough he did. Boxing matchs in ireland seem to bring out all the cardboard gangsters with there made up to f.,k birds . It will be interesting to see where willy goes from here now but he will do very well to ever hold a decent title again, as for rigo one or two more fights then a fight with donaire.

Regarding the travellers trying to take people seats it happen beside me. Once the old man went to the toilets before the Fittzy fight I go to sit down look to the left and theres 1 sitting there I said to him what are you doing get out of that seat. Hes like I got a ticket for here I said to him show me your ticket it was one of the cheap ones told him to get the **** out it went on his way. Then a couple who were sitting beside me had 2 traveller women taking there seats the bloke came back told them to move on nothing but little hassle like that ruins it for people at fights. Also some of the kids running around done my ****ing head. I put my coat on the railing in front of me and some little ****er tried to take I told him if you touch that coat I will knock you out. I dont think I will be quick in going to the Citywest again for a fight. No transport about the place to get people back into town after the fight it was madness. We walked down to the Citywest shopping centre trying to get a taxi. By chance got onto 1 of the brothers in Clondalkin and he picked us up. Promoters really should think about the transport to and from the venue. In the Dunne fights up in the o2 they had buses running up to it yet here you were ****ed.

I am probably one of the only ones that watched it on TV and I have to say fair play to all involved, it looked great on the screen!

Even Cronan's near orgasmic over enthusiastic clapping of Rigo didnt spoil it!

 

There was one fella in particular whose seat was taken a few rows in front of me before the Casey fight. He looked a tough ******* and was ready to do the traveller but was pulled away by his wife/girlfriend as she obviously recognised if he raised a hand hed be outnumbered in a few seconds. Plenty of the travellers were fine but a few ruined the night for a large amount of people. I would be 99 percent sure that the elderly couples in front of me wont attend a boxing event again and theres probably more as well. The security were too afraid to do their job so it was left to the patrons themselves to try and sort it. People paid good money to try support Irish boxing and got ****ed around

 

Good point on the European title thing. Both Sutcliffe and Jimmy Magee said he still holds it but sure enough Booth-Martinez are going for it aren't they?
