both good sites but why the need for more than one site , could both sites not team up along with irishboxers.ie and green jab has set one up aswel . if everyone was working together the could have one very good site .
The problem with this kind of thing, Moorser, is that if you have 4 different sites that means you have 4 different site founders. And while the overall idea might be the same with them all, to cover the broad spectrum of Irish Boxing, what you'll find is that the 4 founders have different ideas on how the specifics should be run. They are all done on a voluntary basis as well don't forget. So deciding who gets control of the almalgamated site would be very difficult to decide. If someone is giving up their free time to a concept they intially came up with and started up themself they aren't likely to be inclined to relinquish creative control to someone else. Also if you have four people working for one source deciding who gets the big interviews, top fight reports etc.. could be an issue. As for MickHiggins comment I have to say. Out of the frying pan and into the fire. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. It's a game of two halves and I'm sick as a parrott. Spouting hopeless cliches is pointless. Anyone who follows boxing knows that a bit of self promotion never goes astray. Different people will like different things. I wouldn't get into commenting on the quality of reporting on here because it's voluntary work and should be appreciated for what it is.
Speaking of sites and all that, anyone remember www.irishboxingblog.com? A guy called Shaun Donnelly used to do it and twas a good read. It's a few years ago now since I have seen it.

The two Irish sites boxing-ireland and irish-boxing.com are excellent reads and very informative, they both have their own character and style. Plenty of room for both of them and we should all support them in what they do - which by an large is the case anyway. They are doing it unpaid and because they are passionate about Irish boxing. Kudos to both sites owners and their contributers:good
Agreed, think they are both to be commended and we are better informed due to their existence. The styles differ but are the better for it.
Kelly i must say ive never seen a poster whos as optimistic and positive about irish boxers as you are, you have nothing but good things to say about them!
The judge beside Ah Sure at the fight, who was ref for Casey Rigo, gave Fitzy all four round, he was on his way to winning the fifth obv! so he would have banked five! he was on top- and surely he would have won regardless. I did think Afif was covering up hoping Fitzy would blow him out, but Afif and not Fitzy looked wrecked!
I'd be fairly sure his nose was broken, he was spitting blood all over the shop, but when I asked him how it felt he said IT FEELS ****ING GREAT, I FEEL ****ING GREAT! BUT ASHAMED... sorry about the caps the man really was shouting!
