    Irish Professional Boxers Association.(IPBA)


    A historical meeting was held in Limerick today (Sunday 10th of April) and the Irish Professional Boxers Association (IPBA)was formed with a number of aims which it hope to achieve.

    The IPBA will work in conjunction with the Boxing Union of Ireland and all boxing promoters to help its members in every way possible to keep professional boxing in Ireland active. The association will help in any way possible with the welfare, care and development of its boxers in helping to find them fights and will look at running a number of their own shows to keep its boxers active and assist them to develop and progress their careers.

    The boxers are not contracted to the IPBA and will remain with their current managers, promoters and trainers.

    Application forms will be available soon for boxers and supporters.

    At the meeting a committee was formed and the following positions were elected.

    Chairman: Pat Eade

    Treasurer: Alan Donnellan and Kenny Moore.

    Secretary /PRO: David Walshe.

    Committee: Robbie Woods, Sean Mannion, Chris Rock, Tom Ward, Mervin Lee.

    Members: Michael Sweeney, Finbarr Eade, Louis Lee, Lee Murtagh, Coleman Barrett, J.J. McDonagh, Paddy McDonagh, Alan Donnellan.

    I heard the jackal is going, but he's too famous to come on here anymore! myself and Kevin our snapper are going down from friday to Sunday most likely but not decided.

    yea id strip that easy just like being a fat ****er :lol:,, yea seems big joke alrite cant understand it at all but billy was down with the army and they wont release him, he would have been good prospect for a medal beat sum top lads at international level last year including lad jj joyce met few times he beat him for the first time in olympics hungarian cant think of his name??

    who thinks paddy mcdonagh and waldron should fight each other on this galway bill

    make it an eliminator unofficial or official for the light heavy weight title
