Hogan is out again soon, two in a month or so!

I think Helenius is fighting Liakhovich now. Not sure what's up next.

Has Rogan's time been and gone? What you lot reckon.

I thought when the fight was announced that the EU title was a bit of a backwards step for Helenius. Hes being touted as the top HW prospect and beating Rogan wouldnt give him much credit worldwide. He can take easier fights and get more rewards. Liakhovich aint easy though, tough fight

I seem to recall someone telling me that the lead up to Ken Buchanan-Charlie Nash was a little saucey.

Can one of our elder statesment *cough*Ardy*cough*gasman*cough* care to educate this young buck!

    :good

I did an interview with Rogan last week (don't have it on me, will stick it up laters)

He said things like he desperately wants Sexton III, tells Mike Perez to step aside as 'Im the Irish heavyweight, no one else' and even calls for a fight with Evander Holyfield.

He knows that someday he'll have to be a kind of gatekeeper, is just determined that's not yet so he can have a go at getting some or other title first.

Great form and better off this Helenius fight is not coming off.

I think that might have been moi. Although it was actually Nash-Watt I was talking/posting about. During the build up to their world title fight Watt was playing the sectarian card, Rangers against Celtic sort of nonsense. Watt made make no bones about it, that he was a die hard Rangers fan, and he played on the fact that Nash was an Irish nationalist from Derry. I don't know how much of it was serious or simply kidology, but I can tell when he fought Americas Sean O'Grady [aka the bubblegum kid :D] in his next fight, you can imagine who we wanted to win that night in our household.:hey

Interesting stuff, especially the gatekeeper thing. Just imagine, Martin Rogan v Evander Holyfield in the Andersonstown Leisure Centre for the WBF title :nut any takers?
