Take for example the Magnificent 7 bill - Barker had to pull out and I think other bouts fell apart too.. If that happens again how many fans will unscubscribe and take for example Dean Byrne's fight with Al Harbi..? How many Irish fans would unsubscribe if the likes of that happened again.

I don't think this is the wisest move on his part and he's married to it now for better or worse as far as I can see.

Fair point - both those shows were badly attended but look who Byrne and Ormond were fighting. If they got decent opponents in and built up a bit of hype then I'm sure they could sell out the stadium. Frankie Gavin said he's vacating the Irish title so that's something that Byrne can look to fight for in the next few months and build a bit of a fan base.

Another point to consider is - would Frank's new adventure prevent him from entering into a deal with RTE..? Nothing so far to say it wouldn't.

 

It's interesting to check out the paddy power odds on upcoming pro fights. I know it's not as if they are boxing experts but if u look at their odds u realise how one-sided most of the big upcoming fights are (next 2-3 months). I still look forward to most of these fight, but realistically i doubt there will be too many upsets

got me trying to think who was the last big outsider I had that won. probably going back to Mosley-Margarito and Hopkins-Pavlik. Bookies dont get it wrong often and they really shorten up their favourites. Had Fury over Chisora but he was only 6/4 I think

jaysus did you only work that out now. all he does is lean on ****s until they get tired. the most entertaining he ever got was in the Nishioka fight when he was smiling at him like an arsehole for a couple of rounds until Nishioka started hammering in those body shots. He's a serious ****ing snoozefest.
