Here's hoping he takes care of business early and doesn't get drawn into life and death again. Andy just needs to relax and trust his ****ing talent and enjoy himself like it's one of those legendary kronk spars of his. Vera's a tough *******, but if you saw the first fight, he looked a class below Andy until Andy started to gas. I've heard that he was ill that night and that's why he gassed. Still don't know why he left it so late with mcewen, but he showed what he can do when he makes up his mind.
Funnily enough Robert I watched that fight again yesterday. Lee really impressed in the opening rounds but seemed too keen to impress and got involved too much. Looking back I don't disagree with the stoppage as much as I did the first time. I think he had recovered somewhat when it was eventually stopped but it could have and possibly should have been stopped a few moments before it was. I expect he'll take care of business this time.

The Kazack Conlon faces Sabbityav, I Googled his name and it looks like Steven Donnelly beat him a few years ago in Russia. A good omen if anything !
O'Kane ok and ready to fight in November http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/09/okane-ok-despite-accident-and-will-fight-in-november/
with froch and ward being reset for December 17 where does this leave Macklin? That was his planned date wasnt it but Di Bella aint going to go against the super 6 having been involved all along. An off telly fight is hardly an option either if he wants to try sell Macklin vs Martinez for early next year
Calling Conlon an uncut diamond is a digrace to his club coach. The club coaches get no attention for bringing these lads up to the standard they are at.High performance just sharpens them. If you hear any of the boxers at the seniors interviewed its the club coaches they thank not the high performance team. Im all for high performance but these lads didnt stumble into the camp in the stadium looking for the toilet, they have been developed from a young age by the guys that knew them since they were kids so i think congratulations should go to the clubs first and then high performance. So well done Mike and everyone at st johns bosco boxing club especially his coach and dad John Conlon and well done to Billy and the lads on the high performance team.
