What time do the remaining lads get in the ring from?

Also when is the qualifers for the womens?

 

Just heard Mick Conlan not boxing until 5pm. I thought from Last 16 down it was available but see it's only from the QF

 

DOJ lost 32-30.
Hard luck, came from 5 down in the first.

 

Heard DOJ got beaten by 2 points not too sure of the score but a standing 8 count with 8 seconds to go lost him the fight.

Conlon won 20-17 thats 3 lads sorted out for London not bad at all.

 

Conlon is some kid seen as he lost the Ulsters last January!

I didnt know this is from RTE.
* The boxers who have been beaten in the last 16 have not lost all hope of direct qualification to the London 2012 Olympics through their Baku exploits as they can also qualify if the boxer who beat them make it to the final of these championships.

So for the lads who missed out they will be cheering on the people that beat them to up our numbers again a strange rule.

 

Except for Egan and Con Sheehan, they had to reach the quarters for this to come into play.

 

So if the lads who beat ward , doj, r Sheehan , get to the final our lads go to London ??????

Anyone see the fight? Was he getting battered a bit or was the cut bad? He may not like it but in fairness to Billy and Zaur, if their man is getting good digs - like Kenny yesterday - they'll pull him out.

Interestingly, both stopped by powerful men, it points to something Puca was getting at about maybe weakening two divisions to get men on the plane. You don't usually see Kenny and Con getting stopped within a day of each other. But against the respective bigger boys (and I know Cuba was also a light-heavy convert) the extra power has told.

No he wasn't getting battered he was always in the fight like when it was stopped the scoring of the round was 2-2.I think when conny calms down and thinks about it Billy and Zaur done the right thing they just couldn't stop the flow of blood from the nose.As to the point of getting men on the plane maybe for Kenny but Conny was really struggling to make 91kg and he would get beat by a worse boxers in comps because he was dead at the weight.Even if he did make 91kg and qualify for London there is no way he would make 91kg in 12 months time.

 

I hear ya man, I remain confident that if he keeps bringing it, he'll get there in the end.
