that KO Entertain crowd have been knocking around on facebook for a while now...do they plan on putting on shows or are they just promoters in name?
Dean Byrne hails 'fantastic opportunity' to top BoxNation bill World Boxing News Harrison: I deserve one last chance World Boxing News Fury admits hes not ready for the Klitschkos BoxingNews24.com Bomber packs a punch with life story Sheffield Star Quigg enjoying his new-found popularity BoxRec News Boxer McNeeley dead at 74 Toronto Sun Good luck to Dean tonight, this is his chance to shine. Last week was a so-so performance, but we can hopefully put that down to ring rust and trying to hard to impress.
Good Luck to Dean tonight. Seemed like this could kick start his boxing again. Too much time not being boxing now is his chance to kick on. Is Lindsay still being promoted by Maloney? Shocked they have taken so long to get him back in the ring and hopefully for Martin he gets another shot at the British title early next year. Since his move from Hayemaker he has been so inactive.
could be wrong but I think he split with Moloney, was anxious to get out of the contract if i recall.
Stephen Ormond has somehow found his way into the WBO top 15 rankings. Would almost make me want Burns to beat Katsidis as would probably lead to Burns-Ormond but my man love for Katsidis wont allow that happen
National Under-21 finals preview Friday, 28 October 2011 09:25 TJ Waite and Blaine Dobbins will raise the curtain on Friday's National Under-21 finals with an all-Ulster derby at Dublin's National Stadium. The Belfast versus Derry light-flyweight showdown is one of 20 finals down for decision at the home of Irish boxing. The Immaculata and Holy Trinity BC's have three boxers each through to the deciders with Sean McComb meeting JD Meli in a 57Kg head-to-head which could have a bearing on which club takes home the most titles. McComb, a cousin of Gavin McComb who boxes out of the Immaculata, Mark O'Hara and Conrad Cummings line out for the Holy Trinity and coach Michael Hawkins anticipates a few edge-of-the-seat affairs on Halloween weekend. "It's fantastic having another three into the National finals and we're very much looking forward to Friday. Finals are always difficult and the important thing is to keep your focus and do the job at hand, he said. "We're expecting three tough finals. We've been working on tactics this week and the lads are in terrific shape and we're quietly confident that we will do well at the National Stadium." Meanwhile, 2009/10/11 Elite Senior finalists Tommy McCarthy and Ken Okungbowa will be between the ropes in the heavyweight and super-heavyweight categories on Friday night. McCarthy, who has reached two Elite finals, meets Thomas Farrell, while Okungbowa faces Dubliner Sean Turner. The Okungbowa/Turner three-rounder is a repeat of last August's Open Unseeded Competition semi-final which Turner won on a second round stoppage. Davey Joe Joyce clashes with Patrick McDonagh in the 81Kg final, while Gary Sweeney is in against Ciaran O'Griofa in an all-Connaught 85Kg duel. Sweeney, who formerly boxed out of the All-Stars BC but is now with the Mike Flaherty club in Galway, claimed a silver medal for Ireland at the 2011 European Youth Championships in Dublin. Friday's women's finals will be contested between Michelle Chamber and Michelle Lynch, Emma Agnew and Laura Connolly-Murphy and Lisa Ward and Ciara Doyle. Joel Scullion, Shane Roche, James Tennyson, Eamon Magee, Marc McLoughlin, Martin Wall, Ronan Date and Chris Blaney, who faces Cummings in an eagerly anticipated middleweight final, will also be in action at the home of Irish boxing. Friday's finals begin at 7pm. This content is protected
Ormond closes in on World title shot http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/10/ormond-closing-in-on-world-title-shot-ranked-in-wbotop-15/ Maidana McCloskey still off the mark- new offer made today http://www.irish-boxing.com/2011/10/mccloskey-still-of-the-money-mark/
no that was me, i said deans post fight interview reminded me of steve's interview when he said he was gonna go over to RJJ gaf and ask him for a fight because he was being ducked, dean had put in a mediocre performance and could have been more humble imo mccloskey has lost fans thats fact, and the prescott fight shows he wasnt as good as what some of us once thought, none of my mates or my casual fan mates enjoy paul mc's style either so its hard to get behind sometimes, however if he fights maidana im sure everyone will be rooting for him, as long as he doesnt mention khan what i said about collins was in no way meant to be disrespectful, collins is a fav fighter of mine and i trained with roddy's gym with pascal a few times, met steve there and he is a bang on chap a true legend from irish boxing it was not a slag, just one of those moments (im sure steve just wanted the big payday and wanted to fight a legend) btw jpab is irish i always had him as a brit, well now i know he is only a west brit
right i heard byrne is making his entrance so im signing out, i got it on sky plus some good fights at the u21's tonight
