Is peters involved with the cubans too or was that just when they were managed by Hyde? Thought Perez would have pushed on after winning the prizefighter.
think he is involved somehow- he sends there press releases. Perez got the big break he needed in Prizefighter but nothing has come of it since? could he be waiting untill he is able to fight for the European title...
Katie Taylor was on Sky Sports News this morning. She is on a Sky Sports Scholarship has to be 1 of the main earners from the boxing team. Whoever is sorting these deals out for Taylor is doing a great job. Imagine if she wins Gold in London just how much money she will rake in from it. Regarding boxing down South its going to get a lot worst before it gets better. We need ****** to come over to Dublin and do a show as Peters is too busy with Macklin. Seems a shame but most of the shows done well in most areas for any of the live fights on RTE. We look up north and you lads are spoiled for choice up there with the cards you have been getting this year. The only chance of a Dublin card is if Macklin wins the World title and takes a defence in Dublin but I cant see Macklin doing that with his move to the US he will be there for a while.
I am delighted to announce that former Belfast pro Eamon McAuley has joined the Boxing Ireland team, a fantastic addition and really buzzing because he loves his boxing and has an encyclopedic knowledge of old school Belfast fighters that I love hearing about. His first video with Paddy Gal will be uploaded today. Brilliant. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=20738&cat=boxer
Yeah think he will, he was saying he was going to go pro on facebook after missing out a few weeks ago !

Thanks mate, I'm hearing he's boxing next in December although not 100% certain yet. Yeah Eamonn is a nice guy, a total gentleman. His amateur career was more notable than his pro career. Yeah this is Eamonn winning the British ABA's in 85, he was the first Irish man in a about 40 years to win one of those titles back then. Coleman Barrett picked up an English ABA about 15 years later. Along with Paddy Gallagher, Kenny Egan, JJ Nevin and Con Sheehan joing the WSB I see that Mick Conlon and Sean Turner have both signed for the LA Matadors, some experience for them and can only make them better boxers .

I don't know whether it's his son or his nephew, but a few of those videos include Ciaran McCauley I think. I watched a few of them one night! He was some boxer. I still can't understand why he quit so young!! I would love to hear from Eamonn McCauley on the subject. He went by Ciaran Crossan in his early years. Had some great scraps with Con sheehan and used to knock out many lads! I think it was Ardy said once on this thread that he knows him :think I think Ireland lost one of it's very best prospects when he quit
It just gets worse:-( Ciaran is Eamonn's son, Crossan is his mothers name. I don't know Ciaran personally but I know Eamonn and the impression I got was his heart has never been in it since the Anderson KO defeat.
