Andy Lee is clear Irish Boxer of 2011 for me.

Hopefully he gets his chance against Sturm. He could finish it inside the distance and take it out of the judges hands and if he loses or gets robbed, what harm?

Ya it's gonna be very difficult for him! I think that both Tyrone McCullough and declan geraghty cud shake up the 60 kg division (not that it needs shaking up)!! Wat ya reckon Matt? I heard somewhere, might have been on here a few weeks back, that geraghty is meant to be flying!

Both could win, for sure. Phelan could win at 52 as well and Cummings could take 75.
Davy Joe Joyce won't roll over either and 91 is very open. Cathal McMonagle and Burnett are the only big name omissions that I can see.

I'm going to back Phelan, have a sneaky suspicion myself. But Conlan may have moved on again and I saw him beat Phelan twice last year.

Very, very big call there! Michael Conlon was good enough to win the worlds back in september! Lost by a point to selby who only lost by a point in the final! 2 points of a difference there between olympic qualification and world gold! If he loses in this years seniors then it's a bigger sign than ever that we have a serious wealth of class!! Who are ur picks ah,sure?

I know. Just think the hunger might edge it. He had Conlan beat last year in the final but a great comeback from Conlan brought it home. Phelan's young too and while not getting the same international experience as Conlan - my top performer at the worlds probably of our guys - Phelan has been in with the High Performance. Not great at making picks as my betting slip from last year will testify, but I'll go:

Barnes, Phelan, Nevin, stumped at 60 so I'll take Donovan, Hickey, O'Reilly (horrible innit), Cummins, Ward, McCarthy, Sheehan.

There's some nasty pickings out there and can't believe I went against my boy Roy Sheahan, as well as top man last year Adam Nolan. Taking Cummins for a bot of interest really but he's gonna be well up for this. Think Sheehan is going to box the head off Big Sexy though.

    Barnes
    Phelan
    Nevin
    Donovan?
    Hickey?
Quigley - Dunno he could be drained to ****?
    Cummings
    Ward
    McCarthy
    Sheehan

Will the bookies only do odds on the finals?? You'd get some crazy odds for getting 60 to 69 alone. 69 is ****ing mental.
