was speaking to timsy a bit about the fight he had a bad clash of heads in first round and was seeing double rest of the fight!! he said it couldve went either way and if it was in ireland he wouldve got decision. was suppose to be a great battle and considering he couldnt use his right arm much in training for the fight and his only sparring was a few rounds with me and spike shows that if fully fit he could easily have beaten this fella. hopefully he gets his arm right and ****** can get him a few fights because on his day i believe he can out tough any cruiserweight in britain!!

So, whats going on with Conlan vs Wilton? Is it close to being confirmed or just another red herring? Think Conlan's body shots would eventually break Wilton down, although Wilton is probably improving steadily as well

Jamie Conlan has called out Luke Wilton, after being interviewed in the Belfast Telegraph. Apparently Luke has accepted, and if it takes place it could happen in the Ulster Hall, it has the makings of a small hall Irish classic.:yep

Current European and Irish Elite light-heavyweight champion Joe Ward will open his Irish title defence with a semi-final meeting against Davey Joe Joyce at the National Stadium on Friday.

The winner will advance to face either Ken Egan or Eamon Walsh in the 81Kg final. Walsh and Egan clash Saturday.

London 2012 Olympians Michael Conlan and John Joe Nevin will both in action next Friday. Conlan faces Shane Roche and Nevin is in against Sean McComb.

The St Michael's Athy BC are guaranteed to have two boxers in the 60Kg and 69Kg finals.

Eric Donovan meets team-mate David Oliver Joyce - and if it is anything like their last classic meeting it will be worth the entrance fee alone - in the lightweight semi-final and Beijing Olympian John Joe Joyce faces Roy Sheahan in a second all St Michael's Athy last-four duel at welterweight

Boxing begins at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday.
