I was texting a lad who was at the stadium tonite and he thought Nevin was quite lucky to get the decision against McComb. Now that mite just have been his own opinion, cos there doesn't seem to be much uproar on fb. Interesting to hear wat any posters here thought

Adam Nolan really surprised me tonight, Willie just couldnt get near him.

Roche and Conlon was a ******* and was a lot closer than scores suggested.

O'Neil and Cummings was another great scarp with O'Neill in fine fettle landing some big big shots . Punch of the night was from Nevin imo what aleft hook right when he needed it .

It was a close fight and Nevin deserved it in the end imo, he dropped McComb with a peach of a left hook and McComb was lucky to get back up and Nevin really took control from there on .

Ya the write up would seem to suggest that Nevin really was on top in the last. He got a fright though didn't he? The surprise packages in the Irish amateur scene never cease to amaze me

I dont know but he is definitely under resourced. I only read the amateur stuff on this thread to try and keep informed, I have no idea about it, but lads as dedicated and informed as that could be directed to an outlet imo.

As we all should know quite well by now, it's very often about who you know rather than what you know.
